The Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Operations (CREWO) team partners across Zillow Group to improve how teams plan, operate, and deliver work. Within CREWO, the Business Operations & Strategy team helps drive financial planning, operational rigor, reporting, and scalable processes that support better decision-making across the organization.

About the role

As a Business Operations Specialist, you will help modernize financial and operational processes across CREWO and partner teams. You’ll support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cross-functional initiatives while building more scalable, automated ways of working. This role is a strong fit for someone who can turn data into insight, improve processes, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple teams, including senior finance leaders.

You Will Get To

  • Own and improve annual budgeting, forecasting, and monthly or quarterly reforecasting processes across multiple organizations.

  • Partner with Finance and Accounting to support accruals, reporting, and planning system updates, including tools such as Anaplan.

  • Deliver financial analysis and actionable insights that support planning and decision-making across CREWO and partner teams.

  • Use AI and automation tools to improve the speed, quality, and scalability of financial and operational work.

  • Identify process inefficiencies and help build more streamlined, automated workflows for forecasting and operations.

  • Develop dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into budgets, spend, and operational performance.

  • Support recurring and ad hoc analytics needs across multiple teams and business priorities.

  • Lead or support high-priority cross-functional initiatives by aligning stakeholders, clarifying scope, and driving execution.

  • Maintain and continuously improve a custom annual operating budget template that supports the unique scope and complexity of this team's planning needs.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $90,900.00 - $145,100.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.

In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont the standard base pay range for this role is $86,300.00 - $137,900.00 annually. The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.

Who you are

  • 3+ years of experience in business operations, financial operations, analytics, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, or related planning processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience using BI tools such as Tableau or similar platforms.

  • Experience working across teams, managing multiple priorities, and building effective partnerships with a range of stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and use automation or AI tools to make work more efficient and scalable.

  • Clear communication skills and comfort working with senior leaders in a collaborative, professional way.

  • Experience with tools such as Anaplan, Workday, Asana, or Jira is a plus, and experience in corporate real estate or finance operations is helpful.

  • Able and willing to travel domestically approximately 10–15% of the time.
