Vontive is a growing FinTech company focused on leveraging our proprietary technology to make accessing capital fast and simple for real estate investors involved in fix-and-flip projects or rental properties purchases. Vontive recently internalized its loan servicing operations and is now developing a robust loan servicing unit with a clear strategy for expanding its capabilities and responsibilities.

Position Summary

Vontive seeks a Manager of Default Servicing & Asset Management to lead loss mitigation and recovery efforts across the portfolio. This role requires immediate hands-on default management with progression to team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage collection strategies for 30+ day delinquencies
• Design and implement waterfall collection campaigns (call, text, email)
• Coordinate forbearance agreements and payment plans
• Direct Notice of Default filings per state requirements
• Manage vendor network including attorneys, property preservation, and REO agents
• Track all portfolio related expenses and ensure accurate recording of costs on loan level
• Track foreclosure timelines and critical dates across jurisdictions
• Negotiate short sales and deed-in-lieu arrangements
• Oversee REO disposition including listing, offers, and closing
• Maintain detailed asset status reporting for investors
• Coordinate with construction monitoring for incomplete projects
• Calculate and apply default interest and fees per loan documents
• Interface with Capital Markets on investor-specific default protocols
• Build specialized workout team as default volume increases

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years residential mortgage default servicing experience
• Expert knowledge of state foreclosure laws and timelines
• Experience with construction lien priorities and mechanics lien issues
• Understanding of bankruptcy chapters 7, 11, and 13 procedures
• Proven track record of loss mitigation and recovery maximization
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Experience with FHA/VA/USDA loss mitigation (if applicable)
• Ability to commute to San Antonio office (hybrid)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
