Our Mission

SPAN is enabling electrification for all ⚡

We are a mission-driven company designing, building, and deploying products that electrify the built environment, reduce carbon emissions, and slow the effects of climate change.

  • Decarbonization is the process to reduce or remove greenhouse gas emissions, especially carbon dioxide, from entering our atmosphere.

  • Electrification is the process of replacing fossil fuel appliances that run on gas or oil with all-electric upgrades for a cleaner way to power our lives.

At SPAN, we believe in:

  • Enabling homes and vehicles powered by clean energy

  • Making electrification upgrades possible

  • Building more resilient homes with reliable backup

  • Designing a flexible and distributed electrical grid

The Role

We’re seeking a Senior Channel Marketer to own and accelerate our go‑to‑market strategy through distribution partners and installer networks. You’ll craft and execute marketing programs tailored to key residential channels—distribution, new home construction, utilities, solar and storage installers, HVAC and home services contractors, and electrical contractors—driving awareness, demand, network strength, sales enablement, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and refine channel marketing plans for distribution partners (electrical, solar, HVAC) and installer networks.

  • Segment and prioritize target verticals: IOU/muni/co‑op utilities, custom/semi‑custom/production new home construction, solar and storage installers, HVAC/home services contractors, and electrical contractors.

  • Grow and strengthen the network of SPAN Authorized Installers across verticals, increasing installs per member and member engagement.

Partner Enablement and Co‑Marketing

  • Create sales‑enablement toolkits: slide decks, ROI calculators, specification sheets, and sales team training materials.

  • Demand generation and lead pass program management.

  • Design co‑marketing campaigns (email, digital ads, events, collateral) with/for distributors and installation partners.

  • Execute targeted lead‑gen programs (webinars, tradeshows, territory-based roadshows) in collaboration with channel partners.

Content and Collateral Development

  • Produce market-specific content: case studies, white papers, application notes, video testimonials, and blog posts featuring utilities, homebuilders, and installer success stories.

  • Ensure all materials align with brand guidelines and technical accuracy.

  • Create train-the-trainer content for distributor, installer and internal sales teams.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Product, Product Marketing, and Customer Support to align messaging, refine value propositions

  • Provide in-bound feedback and insights from the field to Product and Product Marketing to influence the product roadmap

  • Collaborate with Sales and Business Development to create and roll out the SPAN Accelerator program to get new installer teams up-to-speed and productive in their first 90 days.

  • Work with performance marketing on building and adapting campaigns for lead generation, partner microsites, and distribution catalog integrations.

Measurement and Optimization

  • Define KPIs (demand gen performance, lead pass metrics, content engagement, and more) and deliver monthly performance reports.

  • Participate with Sales in quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key distributors and installer network partners to optimize joint initiatives.

About You

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B channel marketing experience, ideally in construction, utility, energy, solar, or HVAC-related industries.

  • Proven track record driving revenue through distribution and installer channels.

  • Deep understanding of target markets: production homebuilders, utilities (IOU, muni, co‑op), custom and semi‑custom builders, solar and storage installers, HVAC and home services, and electrical contractors.

  • Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple partner initiatives simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; excels at simplifying technical concepts for diverse audiences.

  • Data‑driven mindset: comfortable with CRMs (Salesforce), marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms. Bonus points for experience implementing those tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
