Runwise is looking to hire a Director of Strategic Partnerships and add to one of the largest and fastest-growing prop-tech companies in the US.

Runwise (www.runwise.com) is a fast-paced, customer-focused climate-tech startup that controls and runs the key energy systems (heating, water, etc…) in 8,500+ buildings throughout the US. Runwise’s unique hardware and software service significantly reduces energy usage, substantially lowering costs and carbon output. As of today, Runwise’s technology takes the equivalent of 100,000 cars worth of carbon emissions off the road each year.

In this high impact role, you’ll report directly to the CFO and work hand in hand with the senior leadership team to develop a new strategic partnerships segment and execute an expansion strategy into net new markets. You’ll join a high-growth start-up and leverage your skills to lead the strategic direction and execution of our partnerships-led national growth plans.

This position will be responsible for leading Strategic Partnerships efforts at Ruwnise, including:

  • Leading and executing initiatives to formulate and refine a partnerships strategy (who, why and how?) to enable the Company’s partnership-led national growth alongside leading HVAC OEMs, national and/or institutionally backed HVAC service companies, and leading real estate development, design, and engineering firms
  • Owning outreach, discovery and relationship-building with high-impact strategic partnership prospects. Prioritizing efforts to build a robust partnerships pipeline, leaning on existing relationships and developing net new strategic relationships with Tier 1 industry stakeholders
  • Creatively defining and iteratively experimenting with partnerships GTM motion, including alternative business model, pricing model, activation and engagement strategies, to refine partnerships motion and create repeatable playbooks
  • Leading cross-functional efforts to seamlessly execute partnerships initiatives and to develop scalable processes, systems, and products that support robust and accelerating strategic partnerships adoption. Advocate for necessary development, operations, sales, marketing and finance resources required to unlock growth
  • Leading business and legal negotiations and monitoring partner performance
  • Building the company’s credibility outside of existing markets and across the broader building controls ecosystem, representing Runwise through events, webinars, and partner communications.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7+ of experience in partnerships, GTM strategy, and business development with a track record of outperforming targets and delivering scalable growth within high-growth tech companies. Hardware-as-a-service, building controls, and proptech experience strongly preferred
  • Attitude. You’re entrepreneurial, resourceful and strategic. You’re looking for a new opportunity to build something new and play a pivotal role in unlocking a core strategic growth initiative. You’re a self-starter who is comfortable experimenting, operating in the ambiguity, and you’re amenable to change. You’re willing to voice your opinions and challenge decisions strongly, but ready to disagree and commit when required.
  • Technical skills: You have a long track record of business development excellence. You have strong commercial instincts, excellent communication skills, and you command credibility with executive stakeholders.

Salary range, including on target earnings, is $240,000-$270,000 depending on experience level.
