Our property team members help our buildings thrive by focusing on execution and ensuring a great experience for both residents and guests. Our non-property team members support property execution and the evolution of other areas within our platform. They can enjoy remote-first work with the freedom to choose their location — as long as they have access to a workspace and reliable Wi-Fi. We believe collaboration is key, so our remote-first teams and property leaders have biannual in-person get-togethers at various locations across the US.
From corporate non-property team members to our property teams and leaders, we’re looking for collaborative, driven individuals to join us as we continue to expand our presence.
The Impact You’ll Have:
As Content Marketing Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and executing content initiatives that drive guest engagement, increase conversion, and strengthen our brand presence across channels. You will own the email marketing strategy, oversee content execution on our website, and support broader brand marketing initiatives. You will also be responsible for writing, editing, and optimizing copy across email, website, and campaign content — maintaining brand consistency, scaling content output, and driving measurable impact.
As part of the Brand Marketing team, you’ll work closely with the Performance Marketing team to bring campaigns to life while ensuring content across all platforms is accurate, compelling, and optimized for performance. As our business continues to grow, your work will ensure that both our internal systems and customer-facing experiences reflect our brand’s value and voice at every touchpoint.

What You'll Do

    Email Marketing
  • Develop and execute email campaigns, including newsletters, promotions, and lifecycle automations
  • Manage segmentation and testing strategies to improve engagement and booking conversion
  • Write and edit content aligned with brand tone and marketing objectives
  • Review and refine email copy from other teams to ensure clarity, consistency, and brand alignment
  • Monitor performance metrics and make data-driven improvements
  • Website & SEO Content
  • Build, update, and maintain website content including landing pages, property pages, FAQs, and blogs (no development required)
  • Write, edit, and optimize copy for new and existing pages to improve engagement, SEO performance, and conversion
  • Implement SEO recommendations from our agency and ensure on-page content aligns with performance goals
  • Conduct regular audits of site content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and optimization for conversion and user experience
  • Additional Initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling content aligned with brand messaging
  • In partnership with Brand Marketing Manage, own relationship with social media agency.
  • Review, edit, and quality-check content from internal and external contributors to ensure brand consistency
  • Create original content as needed to support strategic initiatives and fill gaps across channels
  • Support property launches and broader brand campaigns with clear, aligned messaging
  • Ensure all content reflects Placemakr’s tone, voice, and brand standards
  • Stay current on content and email marketing best practices
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned

What It Takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of content marketing experience (hospitality or multi-property industry preferred)
  • Proven experience managing email programs and website content
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Experience with CMS tools (preferably HubSpot), email marketing platforms, and blog publishing
  • Solid understanding of SEO basics and digital content optimization
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Agency experience is preferred
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple content projects and tight timelines
  • A team player who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments
  • Ability to give and receive feedback with flexibility and positivity
  • Skilled at turning complex topics into clear, engaging content
