Who you are

As the Workplace Experience Lead (Contract) you will be the primary stakeholder overseeing Metropolis’s office in Seattle You will coordinate all onsite operations related to the employee experience. You will be a member of the People team, working closely with all other teams reporting into the Seattle office to ensure their needs are met. In this role, you will also help build consistent workplace offerings alongside a network of other Workplace employees and contribute to the overall culture of the organization.

This is a 12 month contract position.

What you'll do

  • Represent the Workplace team as the face of the office for employees and guests; maintain a welcoming, safe and secure working environment; ensure reception area and conference rooms are tidy and presentable
  • Contribute to operational excellence by partnering with vendors, onsite support, and internal stakeholder groups such as IT and Security; coordinate with vendors and assist with office buildout and construction projects
  • Own all onsite communications and field inbound requests from the local team
  • Carry out office processes, policies, and all daily office-related operations; receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Monitor and maintain office services and amenities, including F&B and supplies (including arranging office orders and maintenance) - ensuring all areas are well-stocked
  • Partner with other Office Coordinators to understand and align perks, offerings, SWAG, and events; coordinate office lunches and events
  • Take the lead on building-related tasks/issues, such as employee parking, maintenance, building/office updates and announcements
  • Manage conference room calendars including scheduling appointments, confirming meetings, spotting/clearing up calendar related discrepancies, coordinating with professionals from other companies
  • Coordinate with the IT department if any technical issues arise; coordinate with the Accounting team when needed (invoices, expense tracking)
  • Assist with the onboarding and access needs of new onsite employees; support visiting employees from other locations; work on various ad-hoc projects for the broader People team

What we're looking for

  • 2-3 years of professional experience
  • Able to work in-office 5 days a week
  • Thrives in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience interacting with executives in the finance, real estate or technology industries
  • Strong communication skills; highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Team player – energetic, enthusiastic and personable
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize completing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Perform duties with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Strong Google suite (including calendar and Drive applications), Zoom, and Google Meet skills
  • Interest in being a part of a fast-growing company

While not required, these are a plus:

  • Familiarity with Asana, Slack, and Navan is preferred but not required

The anticipated base pay for this position is $40.00 USD to $50.00 USD hourly. The actual base pay offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base pay is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more. #LI-KD1 #LI-Onsite
