Node JS Developer
Metropolis
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Node.js Developer to join our engineering team and help us build and maintain efficient, scalable backend services. You will be responsible for developing server-side logic, integrating with front-end components, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-quality backend solutions using Node.js
- Develop RESTful APIs and manage integrations with third-party services
- Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and QA to deliver features and improvements
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Maintain code quality through test automation and code reviews
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in backend development using Node.js
- Strong understanding of JavaScript and asynchronous programming
- Experience with Express.js or similar frameworks
- Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and working with JSON
- Good knowledge of databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker is a plus)
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred:
- Experience with TypeScript
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines
- Familiarity with GraphQL or WebSocket-based services
