Our client is an early-stage technology venture based in the UK, specialising in digital solutions for the residential property sector. Their platform is designed with compliance at its core, providing building owners and managers with an intuitive way to manage safety requirements while strengthening engagement with residents.

In operation for just over half a year, the business has already demonstrated strong market demand, onboarding more than 20 clients and over 7,000 homes. They have established dedicated teams covering both technology development and customer success to ensure continued growth and client satisfaction.

Working with a range of stakeholders across the residential landscape—including landlords, developers, operators, and managing agents—the company is now looking to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager. This newly created role will take ownership of driving new revenue opportunities and building strategic partnerships across the UK.

The Role

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth by building strong, lasting relationships with new and existing clients, keeping ahead of market trends, and shaping go-to-market strategies. You’ll be a trusted partner to their customers, a mentor within the team, and a key contributor to the company’s growth journey.

What you’ll be doing

  • Business Growth & Networking
    • Proactively generate new leads and identify high-value opportunities in the UK residential and mixed use market – focusing on BTR, BTS, PBSA, Student Accommodation, Local Authority, HOAs, etc. Specifically targeting landlords and property managers.
    • Strengthen relationships with existing clients, nurturing long-term partnerships.
    • Qualify, manage, and follow up on leads to consistently hit team and personal targets.
    • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
    • Be a consultative and empathetic seller.
    • Become a subject matter expert.
  • Sales Execution & Strategy
    • Deliver engaging product demonstrations tailored to client needs.
    • Collaborate the development of the sales strategy and execute plans to achieve revenue targets.
    • Forecast pipeline, track performance, and communicate changes proactively.
    • Partner with the Customer Success team to ensure smooth onboarding and excellent client experiences.
  • Collaboration & Leadership
    • Be a sales mentor and coach to other team members, sharing best practices and driving improvements.
    • Maintain accurate CRM records
    • Be organised and prepared to report on to leadership
    • Work cross-functionally with other team members focused on Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to align strategies and maximise conversion.
    • Being hands on with marketing, thought leadership, and webinars to establish yourself as a subject matter expert in the space.
  • Insight & Growth
    • Gather client feedback to inform future product development.
    • Stay ahead of market and competitive trends to refine value propositions.
    • Track and report key metrics (outreach, lead generation, conversion) and share insights with the wider team.

About You

We’re looking for a high-performing senior sales professional with a proven ability to drive results and build meaningful relationships in the SaaS and property space.

  • Experienced in B2B SaaS Business Development, ideally with exposure to the property sector (especially Residential).
  • A goal-oriented sales leader with a strong track record of exceeding targets.
  • Confident generating leads independently and closing deals with minimal oversight.
  • Skilled at networking and influencing C-suite executives at institutional and corporate level.
  • Ideally, you have had experience in early stage startups – building from the ground up.
  • An engaging communicator with the ability to adapt your style to different audiences.
  • Naturally collaborative and passionate about mentoring and supporting colleagues.
  • Optimistic, resilient, and tenacious – comfortable with ambiguity and driven to find solutions.
