About the Role
Our client is seeking a Director of Human Resources to oversee all HR functions across corporate operations and newly acquired facilities. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team as well as to management and frontline staff at acquired sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR processes related to mergers and acquisitions, organizational integration, multi-state employment compliance, and workforce alignment.
Responsibilities
- Lead HR efforts for acquisition due diligence, onboarding, and integration of newly acquired facilities.
- Collaborate with executives, legal teams, and financial partners throughout transaction planning and execution.
- Develop and implement post-acquisition HR integration strategies, including benefits alignment, employment policy standardization, and cultural onboarding.
- Build strong relationships with both frontline employees and professional staff across locations.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple states and operational environments.
- Support managers and teams in workforce management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
- Drive organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development initiatives.
- Create and maintain company-wide HR policies, employee handbooks, and training programs.
- Oversee administration of benefits, compensation structures, and performance management processes.
- Act as a cultural leader, fostering trust, engagement, and alignment across a diverse workforce.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience with emphasis on mergers & acquisitions, integration, and multi-state operations.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including executives, investors, legal teams, plant management, and frontline employees.
- Background in manufacturing or industrial environments strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of an organization.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, and geographically distributed environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
