About the Role

Our Client is seeking a Vice President of Adoption to lead their post-sales organization and ensure excellence in delivering complex technical implementations, including transitions from legacy tools to modern platforms. This role calls for a leader who can design scalable systems, oversee a professional services P&L, and establish best-in-class implementation practices, while maintaining the speed and agility of a fast-paced start-up environment.
Reporting: This position reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Build a world-class professional services organization with scalable systems and methodologies tailored to the challenges of technology adoption in traditional industries. Drive rapid growth while maintaining operational excellence, and manage the business as a stand-alone P&L.
  • Oversee enterprise-grade implementations of modern SaaS platforms, establish playbooks and project management standards to ensure predictable customer transitions from legacy or manual processes to digital solutions.
  • Develop and lead high-performing teams, including senior managers, implementation leads, specialists, and trainers. Foster accountability through clear KPIs, measurable ROI, SOPs, and cross-training initiatives. Promote the use of AI, automation, and innovative approaches to improve processes and reduce adoption timelines.
  • Define strategy and growth for adoption services, experimenting with consulting, training, and managed services offerings; enable customers to achieve scale and efficiency while reducing waste.
  • Partner closely with product management to serve as the customer’s voice in shaping product strategy and development, ensuring user needs translate into impactful features that drive customer success.
  • Design and implement comprehensive training and adoption programs that empower customers to fully realize the value of advanced platform capabilities, including AI and automation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years leading complex technical implementations in enterprise software, construction technology, manufacturing systems, or similarly disruptive platforms
  • Proven P&L ownership with accountability for profitability, resource optimization, and scalable growth
  • Demonstrated success building and leading professional services organizations, including consulting, training, and managed services
  • Track record of driving operational transformation in startup or high-growth environments under pressure
  • Experience managing distributed teams of 40+ employees across the U.S. and internationally

Technical & Industry Expertise

  • Strong understanding of complex workflows and the challenges of migrating from legacy systems to modern digital platforms
  • Hands-on experience with disruptive technology adoption in traditional industries such as construction, manufacturing, or engineering
  • Familiarity with large-scale software implementations, integrations, and technical deployment complexities
  • Knowledge of industry-specific operations and production workflows is preferred

  • Exceptional change management skills, with experience guiding teams through significant operational and cultural transformation
  • Strong business discipline with a focus on efficiency improvements, cost optimization, and process standardization
  • Data-driven leadership style, including experience designing and managing KPIs, dashboards, and performance frameworks
  • Executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to engage C-suite stakeholders and manage strategic client relationships
