About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to drive the successful execution of software development projects, build out the PMO structure, and ensure cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, and sales teams.

The right candidate will have a track record of implementing agile methodologies, standardising project practices, and delivering business-critical outcomes in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy

• Establish and lead the Project Management Office (PMO) aligned to business priorities
• Define and implement project prioritization frameworks across quick wins, sales needs, and strategic goals
• Act as a strategic advisor on resource allocation, execution planning, and risk mitigation

Agile Execution & Process Optimization

• Implement and champion Agile best practices across software teams
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning sessions
• Drive continuous improvement of development workflows, delivery timelines, and tooling (e.g. JIRA, Linear, Confluence)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate across product, engineering, and sales to ensure shared understanding of goals and deliverables
• Manage offshore and onsite teams across multiple time zones
• Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance team environment

Performance & Reporting

• Define and track KPIs to measure project success and delivery performance
• Own project budgeting and resource planning to ensure cost-effective execution
• Provide regular project status updates to executive stakeholders

Risk & Stakeholder Management

• Identify and address project risks and delivery challenges
• Set clear stakeholder expectations and proactively manage scope, timelines, and communication
• Promote a culture of retrospection and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Person Specification

• 10+ years of experience managing software development projects, with 5+ years in a leadership role
• Deep experience with Agile methodologies and leading distributed engineering teams
• Strong working knowledge of software development lifecycles, CI/CD, and DevOps
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Linear, Confluence)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Experience scaling PMO functions in a high-growth tech company is highly desirable
