This role is central to implementing advanced Building Management Systems (BMS) that improve air quality, sustainability, and operational performance in real estate assets. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building automation and a passion for shaping the future of intelligent buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Implementation & Field Operations
- Install and manage low-voltage cabling, wireless devices, and network infrastructure.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment while delivering high-quality service.
- Adapt quickly to changing work orders and communicate field progress promptly.
- System Deployment & Technical Support
- Lead the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of BMS and energy systems.
- Program, calibrate, and deploy sensors, meters, and control hardware.
- Diagnose system issues using analytics tools and deliver performance improvements.
- Address connectivity and device reliability issues as they arise.
- Client Engagement & Support
- Collaborate with building stakeholders to design solutions aligned with their energy and sustainability targets.
- Deliver on-site technical guidance and training to facilities personnel.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring positive client experiences throughout the project lifecycle.
- System Design & Integration
- Architect and configure BMS systems tailored to the needs of commercial and residential buildings.
- Integrate IoT and automation tools for live monitoring and data-driven optimization.
- Connect systems with HVAC, lighting, and energy management platforms for comprehensive building intelligence.
- Innovation & Technology Development
- Monitor developments in PropTech, AI, and smart building systems.
- Identify areas for automation and efficiency improvements within BMS infrastructure.
- Contribute to internal R&D and the advancement of intelligent building solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in BMS engineering, building automation, or energy systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of HVAC controls, IoT installations, and cloud-connected platforms.
- Proficiency in BMS protocols and tools (e.g., Tridium Niagara, BACnet, Modbus).
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on sustainable building performance.
- Collaborative approach and ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred
- Exposure to AI-powered automation or predictive maintenance strategies.
- Understanding of WELL certification, green building standards, and sustainability frameworks.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices in BMS/IoT environments.
