We’re now looking for a Mid-Level Laravel Developer to join our tight-knit engineering team. In this role, you’ll work across our Laravel + React stack to deliver new features, optimise performance, and help shape the foundations of a platform used daily by thousands of property professionals.

The Role
We’re looking for a mid level Laravel Developer to join our small but mighty product team. You’ll be working across the stack to build new features, ship improvements, and make sure our platform is scalable, secure, and a joy to use.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be coding daily, collaborating with product and design, and owning features end-to-end, from scoping, to building, to deploying to production. You won’t just be “a cog in the machine” , you'll have the freedom and responsibility to shape our product from an early stage.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Full-Stack Development
- Build and maintain core features of our platform using Laravel (backend) and React (frontend).
- Write clean, maintainable code that balances speed and scalability.
Collaboration
- Work closely with our Product Manager and Designer to scope projects and deliver features users love.
- Give input into technical decisions and suggest improvements to how we build.
Hands-On Problem Solving
- Debug tricky issues, optimise performance, and keep the platform fast and reliable.
- Integrate with third-party APIs and tools as we expand functionality.
Continuous Improvement
- Follow best practices (testing, security, clean code) while staying pragmatic in a startup environment.
- Help us evolve our stack and processes as the company scales.
Core Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Laravel (8.x or later) and its ecosystem (e.g. Passport, Horizon, Pint).
- Solid knowledge of React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience working with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and ORMs (Eloquent).
- Building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD workflows.
- Understanding of security best practices (CSRF, XSS, input validation, etc.).
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with caching (Redis), queues, or performance optimisation.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Jest, etc.)
- Exposure to event-driven architectures, microservices, or real-time features.
- Previous startup or early-stage product experience.

- You’re comfortable working across the stack and jumping into backend or frontend as needed.
