About your role
Juniper Square is looking for a Senior People Business Partner to support our organization through our next phase of growth. Reporting to our Principal Business Partner, this is an individual contributor role that pairs strategic coaching with hands-on execution: partnering with the leaders and managers of the client group(s) you support to advance our people strategy, while owning the day-to-day work of performance management, employee relations, and talent development for that business area.
What you'll do
Serve as a trusted advisor and hands-on partner to managers in your client group(s), helping them navigate people challenges and make sound decisions, especially in ambiguous situations
Support performance management for your client group(s): help managers run effective performance conversations, assist with PIP design and execution, and contribute to performance calibration
Support promotion readiness reviews and calibration discussions for the teams you partner with
Own employee relations casework within your client group(s), including conflict resolution and support for investigations, escalating complex cases as needed
Study engagement survey results, exit interview themes, and attrition data for your client group(s) and translate findings into concrete action plans for managers
Help managers build strong onboarding, feedback, and career development practices on their teams
Support organizational change (reorgs, headcount shifts) for your client group(s) by helping leaders think through the people implications and build communication plans
Partner closely with Talent, People Ops, and Compensation to connect your client group(s) with the right internal resources
Deeply understand the business, goals, and talent needs of the teams you support
Qualifications
5-8 years of experience delivering PBP or generalist HR support, ideally at a fast-growing technology or financial services company
Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence with people managers and mid-level leaders
Solid grounding in performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness fundamentals
Comfortable working independently and prioritizing across a client group's competing needs
Skilled at translating data (engagement, attrition, exit interview themes) into practical, actionable recommendations
Experience with an HRIS; exposure to multiple systems a plus
Best-in-class verbal and written communication skills; able to explain HR concepts in a clear, employee-friendly tone
Resilient, forward-looking, and adapts quickly to change; maintains a growth mindset
At Juniper Square, we believe building a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture makes us a better company. If you think this job sounds like a fit, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all the qualifications.
