About Juniper Square

Our mission is to unlock the full potential of private markets. Privately owned assets like commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital make up half of our financial ecosystem yet remain inaccessible to most people. We are digitizing these markets, and as a result, bringing efficiency, transparency, and access to one of the most productive corners of our financial ecosystem. If you care about making the world a better place by making markets work better through technology – all while contributing as a member of a values-driven organization – we want to hear from you.

Juniper Square offers employees a variety of ways to work, ranging from a fully remote experience to working full-time in one of our physical offices. We invest heavily in digital-first operations, allowing our teams to collaborate effectively across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian Provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England. We also have physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.

About your role

As an SSRS Investran Specialist, you will be the key technical expert responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical financial and investor reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) against the Investran database. You will bridge the gap between fund accounting/investor relations and technology, ensuring that all reporting provides timely, accurate, and transparent data for General Partners (GPs) and Limited Partners (LPs).

Key Responsibilities

Report Development and Business Intelligence

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy complex financial reports, capital statements, and investor-specific reports using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) specifically sourced from the Investran platform.

  • Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to ensure efficient data retrieval from the Investran database.

  • Develop parameterized, drill-down, drill-through, and sub-reports to meet varying stakeholder requirements (e.g., quarterly LP reports, capital call/distribution notices, waterfall calculations).

  • Work with Investran-specific reporting tools, such as the Report Wizard and Excel OLEDB, and potentially integrate reports with the Investran Data Exchange (DX) or other investor portals.

  • Maintain and enhance existing Investran-based reports, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to performance standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in report development using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

  • 2+ years of specialized experience working with FIS Investran (or FIS Private Capital Suite), including strong knowledge of the Investran data model and reporting architecture.

  • Expert proficiency in T-SQL (Transact-SQL) for advanced querying, stored procedure creation, and performance tuning against large databases.

  • Experience with other components of the Microsoft BI Stack is a plus (e.g., SSIS for ETL, SSAS, Power BI/Tableau for visualization).

  • Strong command of MS Excel for data manipulation and integration with reporting outputs.

Industry Experience

  • Solid understanding of Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Alternative Investment fund structures and financial concepts (e.g., IRR, TVPI, commitment tracking, partnership accounting).

  • Familiarity with financial statements, partnership capital accounts, and common investor reporting needs.

General Skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proactive attitude with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst, Investran certifications) are a plus.
