If you want to join a fast-growing, highly collaborative, and supportive team that is at the forefront of real estate transformation, we’re the company for you.

About the role

We’re hiring a motivated Staff Accountant to join our entrepreneurial Boston-based finance team. This position will report into our Controller, and enjoy a collaborative hybrid work model, with a minimum of three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our vibrant downtown Boston office.

In this role, you will own core systems including AP and cash reporting. This is a critical role within the team and you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders. Since a large part of success is making processes and predictable work more efficient, a passion for technology and experience automating repetitive work is critical.

What you'll do

  • Process invoices, cash disbursements and perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Own parts of the close process and prepare journal entries and maintain monthly account reconciliations
  • Reduce manual work by leveraging technology (systems, integrations, AI) across all areas of accounting
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate expense recognition, resolve discrepancies, support the close process, and streamline accounting workflows
  • Assist with annual audits and tax filings. Work closely with the Controller to ensure compliance across all entities
  • Dive into ad hoc projects across all areas of accounting and finance as required as part of a growing startup team

What you bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting
  • 1-2+ years of experience in an accounting role (including internships, if applicable)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing deadlines and changing priorities
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats to support the team’s priorities and goals
  • Robust analytical skills, effective problem solving and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Resourcefulness and the ability to challenge the status quo and separate good from perfect
  • High alignment with our values of Learning, Excellence, Truth, Service, Goodness, and Ownership
  • BONUS: Netsuite experience
