About the Role:
Flex is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to play a key role in managing our financial operations and ensuring accuracy across daily, monthly, and quarterly processes. In this role, you’ll be responsible for everything from journal entries and reconciliations to vendor agreements, financial reporting, and supporting audits. What You’ll Do:
- Support daily and month-end responsibilities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis
- Responsible for the accounting and reporting for Flex’s financial transactions, including the tracking and accounting for rent payments, banking, and intercompany transactions
- Prepare calculations and take ownership for multiple vendor and software partner agreements, and ensure that payments are made to stakeholders on time
- Perform daily transactions such as recording vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and credit card charges
- Prepare balance sheet accounting calculations, reconciliations and analysis for manager review
- Responsible for the preparation of cross functional financial reporting documentation, and the preparation of consolidated financial reports
- Liaise with other departments to obtain proper approvals and provide reporting to monitor expenses and analyze variance to budget/plan
- Assist with compliance and regulatory monthly, quarterly and yearly filings by supporting the monthly, quarterly and yearly close process
- Work directly with auditors on subsidiary and statutory audits
Key Qualifications:
- 2-3+ years accounting experience in financial and/or start up environment
- Bachelor's degree (B. A) in Accounting.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and handle adverse and urgent situations with rapid changes in priorities.
- Strong Excel and consolidation skills
- Working knowledge of ERP and financial systems.
- Proven time management and project management ability.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Desire to work in an exciting, start-up environment that encourages individual growth and excellence.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Fintech experience preferred/CPA preferred
The salary compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. The base salary pay range will be $90,000-$105,000.
This is a hybrid position with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in our New York Headquarters. For candidates outside the NY/NJ area, you may be eligible for our relocation assistance program.
