We’re hiring a Compensation Analyst for our Corporate HQ in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Compensation Analyst to join our People Analytics team. This role will support the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees. This position is fully remote.
Salary range: $75k-$85k. Factors including past experience and location may affect final compensation rate.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with job analysis, leveling, and creation/updating of job descriptions across the organization.
- Assist in the creation, implementation, administration and maintenance of sales compensation plans.
- Assist in the design and modeling of new compensation programs by providing data-driven insights and market benchmarks.
- Analyze compensation and commissions data to identify trends, ensure compliance with pay policies, and support business decisions.
- Support annual compensation administration and ad-hoc compensation reviews.
- Conduct compensation benchmarking and market pricing of roles to ensure consistency and support organizational strategy.
- Generate standard and ad-hoc compensation and commissions data reports for key stakeholders.
- Ensure compensation programs comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, minimum wage laws).
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support compensation and commission needs.

Skills & Qualifications
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Technical proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and SQL.
- Knowledge of compensation practices, job evaluation, and pay structures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Workday, preferred.
- CCP or PHR or progress toward certification, preferred.
- Proficiency in Python or R, preferred.
- Experience administration of union roles, preferred.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- At least 2+ years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or a related HR role.
- Experience in compensation function tasks such as market analysis, benchmarking, and administration of compensation data for an organization.
- Experience in sales compensation administration.
- Working knowledge of compliance regulations (FLSA, minimum wage laws, etc.)
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
