Description

Engrain builds map-based tech that’s redefining how real estate works. Our interactive, unit-level maps and powerful data integrations help over 1,000 companies—and 20,000 properties—to make smarter decisions, streamline leasing, and deliver better renter experiences. From prospect to renewal, our products give properties a spatial brain and a visual edge when it comes to property marketing and management. And it’s working: our churn rate is just 5%, and we’ve been putting up double-digit growth numbers every year.

We’re not your typical proptech company. We move fast, we stay curious, and we don’t do stale or corporate fluff. Backed by successful Seed and Series A rounds, we’re entering a phase of serious scale.

As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Engrain’s products by working closely with Engineering, Experience Design, Marketing, Customer Experience, Sales, and Leadership teams. You will be responsible for translating complex business needs into technically sound product requirements, utilizing modern AI tools to ensure high-quality handoffs to our engineering teams.

What you'll do...

  • Product leadership & execution: Define requirements, write user stories, and create clear documentation.
  • Drive Atlas delivery: Turn roadmap priorities into shipped features, driving the buildout and expansion of customer-facing Atlas while partnering with Engineering on a phased modernization, balancing net-new features against technical debt without disrupting the teams who rely on Atlas daily.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Act as the connective tissue across Engineering, Experience Design, Customer Experience, Salesforce, Implementation, Marketing, and Leadership teams. Translate between technical and non-technical audiences and drive alignment when priorities compete.
  • Partner with Experience Design: Collaborate with UX from discovery through delivery to shape intuitive, design-forward experiences, reflecting Engrain's design-first culture.
  • Use AI end to end: Leverage GitHub Copilot and CLI tools to prototype flows, synthesize research and complex data into specs, and run initial logic reviews so requirements are sound before engineering. Open small, exploratory PRs (copy, config, flags, docs) to sharpen handoffs; durable production work stays with Engineering.
  • Technical collaboration: Work with Engineering to understand APIs, data structures, and integration points, including data feeds, partner platforms, and Salesforce-sourced data behind newer Atlas work.
  • Measure & launch: Track performance, define success metrics, and partner with Marketing and Product Enablement on go-to-market for new features.
Requirements

What you offer us...

  • Product management: 3-5 years as a PM in SaaS with a track record of shipping successful products.
  • Communication & stakeholder orchestration: Exceptional written and verbal communication, able to align engineers, executives, and non-technical customer teams across a product that touches many teams at once.
  • Platform modernization: Experience shepherding a product through major technical change (dependency upgrades, migrations, or rebuilds) while keeping existing users productive.
  • Data & API fluency: Hands-on experience with APIs and structured data: reading data models, tracing flows between systems, and validating logic against real datasets.
  • AI-assisted workflow: 1+ years using GitHub Copilot or equivalent in your daily workflow, comfortable in a CLI. Using AI to prototype and opening lightweight PRs is a plus.
  • Front-end stack: Familiarity with modern front-end stacks (e.g., React) and CRM/data platforms like Salesforce.
  • Industry experience: Familiarity with multifamily, PropTech, or the broader real estate industry is a strong plus, especially understanding how property teams operate.
