We are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Senior Accounting Manager to join our finance team and partner directly with our Controller. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives on process improvement, data integrity, and technical accounting. You will be instrumental in the accuracy of our financial reporting, managing key accounting processes, and helping to build a scalable and efficient finance function as the company grows. This is a hands-on role perfect for a detailed-oriented problem-solver with a strong background in SaaS accounting.
What you'll do…
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Applies an understanding of US GAAP to drive the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assists in managing the month-end and year-end close processes, working to improve efficiency and reduce close cycles.
- Technical Accounting & Compliance:
- Expertly applies accounting standards, including ASC 606, to complex SaaS subscription models and other revenue and expense streams.
- Recommends, performs and reviews internal financial controls over financial reporting and maintains procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Process Improvement & Systems:
- Champions process optimization within the finance department, identifying and implementing workflows that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Leverages expertise in ERP systems (NetSuite) and other business tools including SalesForce to architect scalable reporting, automations, and data management.
- Maintains a meticulous approach to data integrity, ensuring accurate and timely financial information across all systems.
- Collaboration & Leadership:
- Collaborates with the Controller and other senior leadership across the organization to provide accounting guidance, streamline workflows, and act as a key financial partner to department heads.
- Mentors and guides junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality work.
What you offer us…
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a CPA and/or Masters in Accounting is preferred.
- Experience & Expertise:
- Five to Seven years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years as an Accounting Manager, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Proven track record in applying US GAAP and managing key accounting processes (e.g., month-end close, revenue recognition, financial reporting).
- Demonstrated experience in improving financial processes, accuracy and systems to support a growth-stage company.
- Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Proficiency with NetSuite or Sage Intact is required.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling) and experience with financial reporting tools.
- Adept at solving complex financial problems and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Mindset & Attributes:
- A high degree of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Collaborative and solution-oriented mindset and able to translate financial information to non-finance teams.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What we offer you...
- Salary Disclosure for Colorado: minimum base salary of $115,000 - $135,000. Final offer amount is determined by factors including years and depth of candidate’s experience, certifications, and skill set alignment to the job requirements
