The Opportunity
We’re seeking our first Support Engineer to join our team in San Francisco. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, is comfortable navigating both hardware and software systems, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
In this role, you will:
- Lead advanced networking support for our sensor fleet, diving deep into logs, troubleshooting edge cases, and enabling the broader support team to resolve complex issues.
- Act as the first line of defense on bugs, reproducing issues, exploring the codebase, and implementing small fixes when appropriate. Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor is a plus.
- Handle standard support tasks, including resolving customer tickets, leading advanced troubleshooting, and assisting with API integrations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in technical support, software engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies. Preferred certification - CCNA or CCNP
- Proficiency in at least one programming language below and experience with debugging tools. Familiarity with Python, Typescript (specifically React). Bonus points if you know Go.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and experience assisting customers with API integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
