About the Job
At BuildOps, we’re building a groundbreaking software solution designed to empower today’s commercial contractors. From service management to project execution, we’re reimagining how our customers operate. Our team thrives on ambition, innovation, and collaboration—qualities we look for in every new hire.
As a Senior Product Manager, Platform, you will help us transform our industry-leading platform which commercial contractors depend on to new benchmarks that allow us to capture a new scale of demand and fuel the continued innovation we’re building. You’ll partner closely with our customers to deeply understand their people, organizational structures, processes, and what they need from their operations platform—then translate that into solutions that drive measurable outcomes for both our customers and the business. You’ll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Sales, Customer Success, and leadership, and you’ll be accountable for customer-driven KPIs and clear business impact.
What You’ll Do
- Own the product vision and roadmap for the entire Platform itself, driving strategy and execution with a cross-functional squad of engineers, designers, QA, and data partners.
- Lead a cross-functional team on platform optimization efforts to increase velocity of all squads as they build and the quality of what ultimately goes out.
- Engage directly with both enterprise and SMB customers to uncover needs, validate solutions, and ensure we’re solving real problems.
- Design solutions with both near-term value and long-term scalability in mind being able to articulate and communicate those tradeoffs to internal stakeholders.
- Leverage AI and ML to challenge traditional approaches, exploring and shipping innovative experiences that materially improve velocity and quality - both internally and externally.
- Align the roadmap with company objectives by working closely with other Product Managers, Customer Success, Sales, and Implementation to prioritize opportunities and trade-offs.
- Lead go-to-market and change management for your domain: communicate priorities and feature launches across the company, and partner with Customer Success to drive successful rollouts and adoption.
- Run effective beta programs with early adopters, capturing feedback to refine experiences before broader release.
- Own clear customer and business outcomes, defining and tracking KPIs that improve platform value and support revenue and retention goals.
What We Look For
- 5+ years of experience in the technology industry, with 3+ years in Product
Management for B2B SaaS
- Experience in leading complex cross-cutting platform initiatives
- Experience building end-to-end product experiences, including prototyping and solution development with AI coding assistants.
- Strong familiarity with enterprise software considerations (from workflows to features and to non-functional requirements).
- Mission-driven mindset, motivated by complex, real-world challenges faced by commercial subcontractors.
- Experience working in a technical environment, with basic SQL skills and proficiency in analytics tools to inform decisions.
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and a track record of working effectively with engineering and design in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, CS, Implementation, PS).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data—both quantitative and qualitative—to shape product strategy and day-to-day prioritization.
Who You Are
- Someone with a genuine interest in construction tech and the customers we serve.
- A strategic thinker who thrives in a high-growth startup environment.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and breaking down complex, messy problem spaces into clear, actionable work.
- A self-starter who takes ownership, follows through, and delivers results without needing heavy direction.

- A team player with integrity, grit, and a strong work ethic, who raises the bar for those around them.
