Bp's customers & products (C&P) business area is setting up a Business and technology centre (BTC) in Pune, India. This will support the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities at scale, using technology, and developing deep expertise. The BTC will be a core and connected part of our business, bringing together colleagues who report into their respective part of C&P, working together with other functions across bp. About the role:
Providing end-to-end supply chain (SC) governance and expertise and ensuring the right products arrive safely in the right quantity at the right place to improve availability and minimize waste and capital employed.
Critical metrics: Cost effective and process-efficient SC solutions. Critical metrics (KPI) in (wholesale) SC: Security and compliance, up to 100% timely delivery, best-in-class lead times for efficient site processes and achieving efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities :
Subject matter expert for inventory management, forecasting, and centralized replenishment within the Supply Chain Team
Collaboration with Category Buying, Pricebook, the Space Planning Team, and external logistics providers to provide data-driven decision-making for the core product range and demand driven order quantities.
Ensuring product availability for defined product groups (including tobacco, beverages, confectionery, and food) within the framework of the assortment logic defined by Category Management
Supporting the Supply Chain Manager through preparatory supplier and performance supervising to ensure product availability along the supply chain
Analyzing the costs and process efficiency of the supply chain and deriving optimization approaches (e.g., product range, delivery frequencies, delivery times) as a basis for management decision Development and maintenance of a central process for promotional and new product orders in collaboration with Operations and Category Buying, including sales forecasts at the store level
Creation and maintenance of monthly critical metric(KPI) reports, including supplier trend analyses for clear performance presentations
Professional coordination of key seasonal events (e.g., Easter, summer, Christmas) to ensure availability and waste minimization within the framework of the predefined planning logic
Central maintenance and further development of minimum/maximum order parameters for defined categories, including critical metric(KPI) tracking and close coordination with Category Management and Operations
Central complaint management along the supply chain, including reporting, root cause analysis, and further development of standardized complaint and customer concern processes
Analysis and preparation of bonus/penalty contract reports on the main supplier's delivery performance as a technical basis for management reviews
Development and maintenance of a standardized reporting structure for the clear presentation of the delivery performance of other suppliers
Operational responsibility for maintaining delivery schedules, central ticket interface to operations, and support for audits, compliance, and HSSE topics
Education :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Business Analyst in the field of trade or marketing with a specialization in processes or systems
Experience Required:
Professional experience in the FMCG sector
Commercial experience in a retail environment
Experience with contract negotiations and third-party management
Experience in supply chain management
Skills & Proficiencies:
Strong numerical proficiency
Excellent analytical skills
Expertise in the retail business
Experience in operations
Relationship management
Understanding of retail-specific financial data
Negotiation skills and the ability to influence decisions
Knowledge of retail standards, guidelines, and procedures
