Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join BP Business Solutions India Private Limited. This role will be instrumental in leveraging data to drive strategic business decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to BP's digital transformation journey.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and execute complex data analysis projects from inception to completion, applying advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
Develop and implement robust data management strategies, including data sourcing, integration, cleansing, and transformation processes (ETL).
Design and build compelling data visualizations and interpret findings to provide actionable insights to stakeholders across various business units.
Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their data needs, define problems, and translate complex business questions into analytical solutions.
Champion data strategy and governance initiatives, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
Act as a subject matter expert in data domains relevant to BP's operations, advising on standard processes and emerging trends.
Facilitate and actively participate in group problem-solving sessions, fostering a collaborative environment to tackle challenging data-related issues.
Communicate complex analytical results and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data science capabilities within the organization, including mentoring junior data scientists.

Job Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
Exceptional commercial competence with the ability to understand business context and translate data insights into tangible business value.
Expertise in data analysis, data manipulation, and various statistical modeling techniques.
Demonstrable proficiency in data cleansing and transformation methodologies, including extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes.
Good understanding of data domain knowledge relevant to the energy sector or large-scale industrial operations.
Advanced skills in data integration and working with diverse data sources.
In-depth knowledge of data management principles and standard processes.
Proficiency in creating compelling data visualizations and interpreting complex data patterns.
Solid understanding of digital security principles and their application in data handling.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

Demonstrated ability to supply effectively to and lead group problem-solving initiatives.
