The Trucking Coordinator/ Logistics Systems Specialist ensures safe, reliable, and efficient execution of trucking operations across the region by acting as the central interface between haulier scheduling teams and internal partners. The role handles daily operational disruptions, ensures accurate flow of supply information, and supports performance management of trucking contractors through target oversight. Systems Specialist acts as the focal point on all logistics related systems, providing support in case of technical disruptions through working with Technology and System support teams and assuring timely and accurate execution of the BCPs.
We operate a hybrid work model, requiring four days per week in the office.
Key responsibilities:
Midstream & Trucking Operations & Administrative
Serve as the primary daily interface between Fuels Business, Midstream Operations, Planning, and the Secondary Transport (ST) Service Provider
Analyse and resolve operational issues, ensuring efficient information flow between business teams and hauliers
Provide support in freight costs monitoring, load location deviations, and support follow‑up actions in partnership with the Truck Contract Manager
Track and report key logistics targets (safety, stock levels, demand/sales, costs, delivery performance)
Perform periodic haulier payment processes, including contracted and ancillary charges
Provide support in execution on HSSE agenda and incident reporting
Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks or recurring issues across hauliers or supply flow. Support improvements in grade-out reporting, trip recon processes, and communication flow
Systems, Data & Integration Management
Act as the initial issue point of contact for incident reporting (including out‑of‑hours events)
Provide day‑to‑day support and troubleshooting for systems used in transport operations (SENT, SAFT-T, SAP logistics modules, and peripheral applications)
Coordinate Business Continuity Plan processes related to logistics systems, ensuring readiness, compliance, and effective execution during disruptions
Maintain and govern logistics master data in SAP and related systems, acting as a key liaison between trucking teams, local offices, FBT, and hauliers
Handle system changes requests (e.g., SAFT‑T and SENT interface updates, regulatory amendments) ensuring timely and compliant implementation
Coordinate development and deployment of digital platforms and new functionalities, ensuring alignment with business needs and end‑user requirements
What You will need to be successful:
Ability to lead the daily interface between partners
Understanding transport operations, product flows, and constraints. Ability to rapidly interpret product availability updates and translate them for schedulers
Strong situational awareness and the ability to respond quickly to supply disruptions and ability to coordinate recovery actions between hauliers, supply teams, and assets
Clear communication under pressure to ensure service continuity
Ability to maintain constructive and outcome-focused discussions
Comfortable analysing daily lifting data. Ability to identify patterns, bottlenecks, or supplier underperformanceSystems & Tools Proficiency
Solid understanding of logistics systems with the ability to solve incidents, integrations, and data issues
Ability to diagnose root causes, run change requests, assess technical impacts, and ensure data accuracy across systems
Understanding of regulatory requirements and business continuity planning, with the ability to maintain structured processes and documentation
Effective at coordinating between trucking teams, local offices, IT, and hauliers, ensuring clear communication during system updates and incidents
Capable of coordinating digital platform development, system enhancements, and deployments while prioritizing tasks in a dynamic operational environment.
