The Procurement Operations Manager leads an operation team or virtual team who manage vendor master data and Requisition to Receipt operations. In this role you will ensure vendor master data requests are processed accurately and promptly in compliance to the relevant policies & procedures, and requisition is processed promptly and aligns with category strategy and approved buying channels.
The Procurement Operations Manager cultivates partnerships with procurement and process excellence teams and collaborates to enhance user buying experience and drive efficient processes.
The incumbent would be potentially required to work under alternative shift arrangements to ensure appropriate overlap hours with Central European / Eastern Standard / Asia Pacific time zones.
This role is expected to evolve in line with the organisation’s procurement strategy. As opportunities for centralisation arise, the Procurement Operations Manager may take on additional procurement responsibilities, contributing to greater efficiency, consistency, and value across procurement activities.
Key Accountabilities:
Operation Delivery:
Oversee vendor master data and requisition to receipt activities.
Provide energizing and engaging leadership for their team or virtual team and clear direction.
Deliver modernization & transformation activities, leading optimization of process aligned to the broader procurement and category strategic transformation agenda.
Manage relevant KPIs, including performance and compliance metrics.
Provide end-to-end proactive monitoring and management of transactional pipeline to ensure workload prioritization drives better user experience and on time transaction processing to suppliers.
Procurement Delivery:
Provide advice to the business & PU procurement team on day-to-day operations.
Unlock value and support procurement performance in line with procurement policy and category execution.
Team Integration:
Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement through their team or virtual team, and the business.
Develop the team’s technical capabilities and nurtures accelerator skills; curiosity in external markets, innovation and technological disruption, digital fluency, data-driven insights, and strong collaboration with stakeholders.
Establish an environment of psychological safety as a foundation for collaborative learning, ideation and innovation.
Transformation and Change Management:
Support implementation of transformation initiatives, which deliver incremental business value.
Leverage digital solutions to drive innovation, enhancing efficiency, effectiveness and value creation.
Use influencing, storytelling and communication to encourage adoption.
Constantly scan for improvement opportunities and implement transformative solution that solve the problems.
Essential Experience & Job Requirements:
Degree educated (Finance or Procurement fields would be preferred) or equivalent relevant professional
experience. Post graduate qualification related to procurement would be highly beneficial.
Knowledge of procurement process and general accounting practices. Relevant previous experience in a similar operational role.
Knowledge of ERP and S2P suite.
An understanding of how to ensure strategies flow through procurement process in ERP/S2P suite.
Leadership experience, ideally in a procurement operation organization.
Ability to partner with the business to develop innovative solutions, clearing blockers and enabling delivery.
Strong relationship building skills in order to lead the team or virtual team, while engaging with senior stakeholders.
