Are you ready to play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and safely? In this dynamic position as a Production Technician, you'll help us keep our LNG operations safe, compliant, and running reliably. In this role, we work closely as a team on the ground, supporting each other to manage daily operations, respond to issues, and maintain high safety standards.
You’ll join us through the Teknisi Produksi Papua or Junior Technician Accelerated Program (JTAP), where we’ll support you in building the core skills you need. We’ll train you in building foundational competency following bp HSSE expectations, Operating Discipline, major hazard awareness, equipment fundamentals, and facility operational procedures, so you can gradually take on full technician responsibilities with confidence!
Key Responsibilities:
During the JTAP development phase, you will:
Build foundational knowledge in HSSE, Operating Discipline, and major hazard awareness.
Supervised field tasks, including plant line-up, P&ID familiarization, inspection rounds and sampling.
Guided application of SOPs, MOC, ORA, overrides, and handover standards.
Report to Trainer or Programme's Assessor, Production Supervisor and will be assigned to handle a certain area.
Technician Role Requirements:
Deliver safe, compliant, and reliable operations in accordance with bp HSSE and Operating Discipline expectations.
Monitor and control equipment and processes, ensuring facility operations remain within parameters defined in Operations Manuals and Procedures; promptly escalate deviations to site leadership.
Optimize plant and equipment performance and communicate improvement opportunities to site leadership and the Production Delivery Unit.
Implement operating tasks efficiently and safely (routine operations, SOPs, basic care, field checks, sampling, area surveillance).
Ensure full compliance with process safety requirements, including SOPs, MOC, ORA, overrides, LO/LC valve protocols. leak and seep reporting, and handover requirements.
Fulfill Control of Work responsibilities such as isolations. monitoring activities, integrity checks, pre- startup verification, and process line- ups.
Maintain awareness of site major hazards, manage ongoing operational risks, and report emerging issues to leadership.
Participate in failure investigations and contribute to root cause analysis as needed.
Review operational procedures to ensure accuracy, applicability, and alignment with bp standards.
Provide operational input for planning, projects, TAR preparations, and support for vendors and visitors.
Qualifications:
Must be an Indigenous Papuan (OAP), with either father or mother being Papuan. Validated by, Photocopy of ID Card (KTP) & Family Card (KK).
Degree in Engineering (S1/D1/D2/D3/D4) with a minimum GPA 2.75.
Proven experience as a technician in an individual facility having bachelor's degree, or at lease Diploma, or at lease High School/Vocational School/Madrasah Aliyah.
