Role synopsis

Operations & Advisory (O&A) is an internal global shared services and technology solutions organisation within People & Culture. It is responsible for innovating & delivering HR services and solutions for bp globally, from a number of Business & Technology Centres and local delivery teams. O&A is the first point of contact for HR related matters; the team are policy, process and digital experts, dedicated to delivering the best customer experience.

The purpose of the Knowledge Management Solutions analyst (KMSA) is to support the design and maintenance of the knowledge management solutions, so we can deliver a great and efficient platform. The KMSA will build strong partnerships with team members, knowledge owners and other P&C stakeholders; they will apply their expertise in knowledge management solutions to deliver an engaging, compelling experience!

Role purpose

Deliver the day-to-day design and maintenance of our knowledge management solutions, so we can deliver a great and efficient P&C platform.

Role reporting relationships – 0 direct, 0 indirect reports

  • Support the design and maintenance of the Salesforce knowledge repository

  • Identify gaps in information flow and recommend improvements.

  • Work with different teams to understand how they access and use knowledge.

  • Enhance document classification, tagging, and metadata strategies.

  • Work with different teams (Knowledge Management, content owners, Virtual Assistant product team etc) to enhance knowledge access and utilization

  • Support adoption initiatives of knowledge management tools through training and communication strategies.

Required qualifications

Professional qualification, or equivalent experience

Formal education requirements

  • Professional qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

Skills (cross referenced to Capability Framework)

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in HR systems, business analysis, process development / documentation and supporting HR business

  • Understanding of HR guidelines and standard processes

Technical

  • Able to use independent judgement and contribute in a team environment

  • Experience of translating business requirements into functional designs

  • Good attention to detail

Behavioural

  • Proven track record of evaluating and driving ‘benefit’ solutions

  • Customer management – ability to engage with and influence key business partners.

  • Ability to prioritize feature work and complete tasks independently, providing timely follow-up and resolution

  • Strong team alliance skills and ability to work closely with others

  • Experience with content management systems

  • Microsoft Office skills, extensive understanding / experience using Excel

  • Actively working to develop capability with an equal blend of EQ, IQ and drive.

Desirable experience

  • Experience with cloud based knowledge base.

  • Exposure to projects that use Agile and Waterfall methodologies

  • Experience in graphic design .

  • Experience working within a global organisation, including using social media style tools to support communications and engagement across time zones
