Job Description:
This role drives the delivery of people & culture (P&C) priorities and transformation initiatives across Supply, Trading & Shipping (ST&S). Working in close collaboration with the VP P&C and relevant P&C Senior Managers and ST&S business leaders to ensure agreed transformation plans are implemented to scope, schedule, and quality. Provide day-to-day leadership on implementation, change adoption, and governance for people transformation initiatives, ensuring safe, compliant operations and measurable outcomes aligned to bp strategy.
Lead delivery of the ST&S people transformation roadmap by translating the people plan into executable initiatives to drive business strategy and performance. Provide implementation and change support to ensure sustainable adoption of new ways of working, including governance, communications and coordination, in line with local legislation, bp policy, and best practice.
Deliver reliable, compliant, and secure P&C support, enhancing delivery of business and transformation priorities
Lead and deliver people-related ST&S transformation initiatives (e.g., operating model, org change, workforce transitions, process redesign), ensuring clear scope, milestones, dependencies, and defined outcomes
Apply structured change management to drive adoption (stakeholder mapping, impact assessment, communications, training, and reinforcement), and track benefits realization post-implementation
Provide people analytics and insights to enable robust decision-making; translate data into actions that improve performance and enables project completion
Run effective governance for ST&S people projects (RAIDs, decision logs, reporting), calling out risks and issues and aligning actions across P&C and business teams
Drive continuous improvement by identifying root causes, standardizing approaches, and implementing sustainable solutions
Ensure consistent application of policy, ethics, and local legal requirements to projects
Support workforce planning and resourcing activities for relevant ST&S P&C projects by providing inputs to demand/supply planning and executing agreed actions with relevant teams (e.g., talent, recruitment)
Enable a compliant high-performance culture by ensuring quality, timeliness, and controls
Leverage agile and lean methodologies to increase value to end users and accelerate delivery of P&C change and improvements
Act as a strategic P&C business partner to ST&S leaders in the projects & transformation team by building trusted relationships, proactively identifying people implications of business decisions, influencing outcomes with insight-led recommendations, and aligning solutions to business priorities while balancing risk, policy, and culture
Essential Experience and Job Requirements:
Degree and/or professionally qualified. Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or a related subject.
Significant experience gained across a range of people & culture fields within commercial and operational environments. Behavioral: o Track record of effective partnering and coaching o role-modelling of best practices in continuous improvement and driving high performance
Demonstrable capability and experience in project management, change management, and organizational development.
Clear experience of project implementation and execution.
Proven experience of operating in sophisticated, geographically dispersed, and culturally diverse environments.
Desirable Experience
Leading people/HR transformation initiatives end-to-end
Hands-on change management experience
Strong programme/project governance capability (RAIDs, decision logs, status reporting, dependency management, and delivery through complex, multi-country environments)
