Join our Technology Team and advance your career as a Senior Accounting Business Analyst
This role supports the Gas & Power Trading Americas (GPTA) business specifically. You’ll be an experienced Accounting Business Analyst, supporting accounting and settlement operations.

This role supports US based activity; it will require some evening shift working.
In this role You will:
Own and resolve production issues while managing support requests with a proactive, determined attitude
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to ensure clear alignment across teams
Support integration efforts and monthly release cycles, contributing to smooth and timely deployments
Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver efficient mid‑office solutions
Provide expert support for the accounting and settlements domain
Engage with customers to enhance systems, optimize processes, and elevate user experience
Work closely with cross‑functional teams including Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Developers, and SMEs
Prepare and validate documentation, including business requirements and production support materials
Coordinate and complete testing activities, including UAT, to ensure high‑quality delivery
Follow release management and change control procedures to maintain stability and compliance
Manage and track support requests in ServiceNow, meeting SLA expectations and ensuring timely resolution
Support month end accruals and month/quarter/year close
What You will need to be successful:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Several years of Business Analyst experience, ideally in a dynamic environment
Strong command of English (verbal and written)
Excellent analytical skills, strong numeracy, and solid financial awareness
Proactive, committed attitude with the ability to perform under pressure
Strong communication and collaboration abilities across diverse teams
Assertive, confident, and takes full responsibility
Dedicated and highly accountable, demonstrating strong project ownership
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Thrives in collaborative, agile, cross-functional teams
Desirable Criteria:
Experience with SAP, Azure DevOps and SQL
Experience with Service Now
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and partner engagement abilities
Knowledge of Management of Change processes
Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments
Understanding of the commodities, trade, lifecycle and energy trading
Experience with Settlements, Accounting, or Finance
