NPI & Lifecycle Analyst

The NPI & Lifecycle Analyst role is part of the wider Supply Chain organization and the Planning Team within GBS.

The NPI & Lifecyle Analyst role is responsible for setting up, managing and improving analytical data requirements regarding product launches and other NPI activities including status tracking with business collaborators. The NPI & LC analyst is required to work across multiple sites and teams; across a wide geography to ensure that all information required to support the NPI and LC supply chain processes are available in full and on time.

  • Adhering with the tasks outlined in the EMS/QMS Systems of FBT.

  • Drives and tracks New Product Introduction related Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) during implementation
  • Supports the evolution of an existing mapping tool that provides medium to long-term formulation and raw material change insights to the wider teams, supporting network optimisation activities.
  • Develops an approach to data management that allows easy access to, and interrogation of data associated with NPI activities to support decision making and to indicate/predict current and future project performance
  • Ensures data is accurate and robust, and can be used to underpin key decisions with significant impact for the organisation
  • Provides insight to how to improve the quality and robustness of the New Product Introduction and Lifecycle process through analysis and general support to the NPI and LC Manager.
  • Leads the set up of presentation material necessary for a successful Product Management Review (PMR) and Regional Supply Review (RSR).
  • Manages all demand and inventory status reports for product phase in and phase out plans.
  • Inputs ideas for continuous improvement action plans to the NPI and LC Manager
  • Adhering with the tasks outlined in the EMS/QMS Systems of GBS
  • Provide accurate information to both business customers and support teams through the correct use of all information technology systems.
  • Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with internal and external participants.
  • Ensure data is accurately entered and maintained in all systems, minimising errors and resultant financial losses
  • Some of the Key Performance indicators to be prositively influences by the job holder are: SC implementation performance; Inventory volume and days of cover; Stock availability %; Customer IFOT %; % of new products launched on time; % increase / Decrease of formulation and raw material complexity driven by incoming and outgoing product activities; Stock write off costs.

What You will need to be successful:

  • University/College degree preferably in Economics, Supply Chain or similar
  • Absolute fluency in “business English” is mandatory
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Very strong analytical skills – able to analyze and summarize complex information and prepared to drive performance improvements
  • Strong impact, interpersonal, influence and communication skills with proven capability and potential to make a significant contribution to the business.
  • Good understanding of cross-service functions relating to the business commercial activities
  • High understanding of the business requirements and strategy
  • Ability to work under time pressure and to prioritize multiple tasks
  • High level of customer focus
  • High degree of energy, stamina and resilience, combined with a “can do” attitude
  • Continuous improvement mind-set

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge and experience of New Product Introduction and Lifecycle management and a good understanding of its importance to the business.
  • Highly analytical, numerate with a strong attention to detail.
  • High degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and business reporting tools (e.g. MI/SAP Business Objects).
  • Extensive experience/knowledge in data transformation using advanced formulas (index, match, vlookup, ranges, getpivotdata, if, countif, offset etc.).
  • Confident with pivot tables, calculated fields, linking files, named ranges and conditional formatting.
  • Familiar MS Programs like MS Project or Power BI or Power Automate
  • Experience in generating reports, analytics dashboards in Excel preferably (or any visulisation tools like: Tableau)
  • Knowledge and use of any ERP system is advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience preferably in marketing, Supply Chain, planning or logistics or
  • customer service experience
  • Can operate with ease at different levels of planning (operational, tactical and strategic).
  • Has the drive and insight to act wherever it is required.
  • Able to work well under sustained pressure with conflicting demands, optimizing resources and responding to fast changing circumstances.
  • Ability to guide others in their work and occasionally stand.
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in Sales and Customer management, finance or supply chain is important
  • Experience of working with a diverse team across different geographies
