Job Purpose
The Finance Manager, Accounting & Reporting is to lead the accounting team of accountants and assistants
- To ensure Castrol BP Petco's business transactions and results are recorded and reported with integrity, visibility and in a timely manner.
- To provide effective and efficient accounting services to all the businesses in BP Petco.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of accounting services and financial reporting infrastructure management for the 4 businesses in Castrol BP Petco.
- Responsible for completion of statutory accounts requirements and assist the Finance Manager in the SPOC role for external auditors as well as liaising with Regional Tax
- Manage the development, implementation and monitoring of robust and effective financial accounting and control of related systems and processes. Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of actual to the Group (ECCS).
- Direct all financial controls and operations within the Accounting team ensuring the effective application of and compliance with accounting and financial standards and Group requirements.
- Provide assurance and independent assessment to the Finance manager that financial control and accounting, and fraud control policies are consistent with the Group Management Framework and Functional Standards. Ensure SOX / IFRS compliance.
- Support the Finance Manager in due diligence process and in ensuring the appropriate FAL (Financial Authority Limit) is in line with delegation of authorities. Will need to work with Regional Legal in the contingent liability process.
- Responsible for cash management and in managing relationship with bankers.
- Leads Accounting & Reporting team and responsible for their learning and development.
- Manage the performance of the outsourced accounting service provider, including KPI/SLA definition and tracking, service review governance, and delivery of continuous operational improvements
Job Requirements
Educational background
A university degree in Accounting and or professional accounting qualification. e.g. CPA, ACCA
Experience (years and nature)
At least 5-years relevant experience with 2 - 3-years working experience in leading an accounting team.
Others
- A sound knowledge of global and local financial accounting (VAS, IFRS) is a must.
- Strong Digital literacy – Excel, Powerpoint
- High proficiency in English and Vietnamese
- Good understanding on how BP's Financial Control & Accounting processes and systems operate (JDE, ECCS, Bex), including the key collaborate with other Corporate & Functions departments and with third party providers.
- Excellent engagement and interpersonal, communication skills in both English and Vietnamese
- Able to build relationships with people at all levels and from a variety of backgrounds and cultures is essential for this role, since this incumbent will need to establish effective relationships across the BP FC&A team, and the Business to help deliver on the objectives
