Job Description:
The Senior Service Engineer provides advanced operational and technical support across SAP-enabled supply chain, logistics, and commercial processes. This role is responsible for ensuring stable business operations, accurate transactional data, and the effective resolution of complex service issues across fuels and materials operations.
Acting as a subject matter expert, the role supports SAP Order to Cash, Inventory Management, and EDI-enabled processes, while contributing to business continuity, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
Operational Support & Service Delivery
Provide expert SAP application and process support across Order to Cash, Inventory Management, and Supply Chain operations.
Resolve complex incidents and service requests, acting as an escalation point for high-impact operational issues.
Support business-critical activities, including period-end closing, reconciliations, and operational reporting.
Ensure compliance with service level agreements, controls, and operational procedures.
Systems & SAP Expertise
Act as a subject matter expert for SAP ERP and SAP Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes.
Support system stability through effective incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Collaborate with IT, business teams, and third parties on system changes, testing, and go-live support.
Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of master and transactional data.
Process Improvement & Risk Management
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, and process standardisation.
Support process mapping, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
Contribute to operational risk management and the effectiveness of internal controls.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and governance requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with commercial, supply chain, logistics, and finance stakeholders to resolve issues and align operational priorities.
Communicate clearly and proactively regarding incidents, risks, and system changes.
Support change management activities by guiding users through process and system updates.

Skills & Experience
Essential
Significant experience supporting SAP ERP in an operational environment.
Strong knowledge of Order to Cash, Inventory Management, and Supply Chain processes.
Experience with SAP EDI, order processing, invoicing, and data reconciliation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident management capabilities.
Ability to work effectively in a business-critical and regulated environment.
Desirable
Experience in fuels, logistics, or terminal operations.
Exposure to period-end close, balance sheet reviews, and regulatory reporting.
Experience supporting system enhancements, testing, and go-live activities.
