Let me tell you about the role!

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the pivotal role of Insights & Pricing Manager.

You will lead all work-streams to unlock consumer and customer insights in service of continuous evolution of marketing mix across our brands and strengthening the value propositions to our customers across channels. What one can look forward to as a unique enriching experience is a combination of Consumer, Customer and Influencer channel insights and their forming the core of the marketing programs.

In the traditional 4Ps view of marketing, the importance of pricing cannot be further emphasized. The nature of pricing in different contexts alongside the profitability aspirations on the organization would mean the pricing leadership displayed by the person in this role would determine effective promotional programs and innovation. Pricing is a very strategic lever and a good comprehensive view from an external and internal lens can make it a differentiator for our business strategy.

An ideal candidate would have :

1. The ability to define the research and insights road-map and plan in accordance with the business plan and to prepare for the future (2028-30 horizon)
2. A mastery on quantitative and qualitative research approaches and deploying them as per the initiatives and risk identified.
3. Ability to understand the business in whole across our different spaces and contributing to acceleration of the growth.
4. Translate pricing as a strategic lever to add incremental growth
5. Great team management skills - Building a vision, enabling the team, encouraging them and translating these into tangible business results.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Build consumer & customer learning to design enabling actions that would translate ambition into business results across different business verticals

• Strong tracking of trends and industry changes to influence the marketing plans for business. Maintain up-to-date collation, synthesis and circulation of insights across macro, industry and consumption indicators.

• Maintain reliable crucial business reports such as Retail measures, Brand Health tracks and other available syndicated reports to provide a pulse and direction for the business.

• Partner in the New Product development and new campaign development with the space leaders to ensure aspired for business results

• Align the calendar and deliver fundamental research (like U&A studies, pricing) basis relevance to external environment and business goals as well as category specific insights requirements.

• Drive data backed and aligned, robust pricing actions across brands in line with the financial plan and competitive context.

• Maintain a rigorous view to competitive intelligence across the pricing value chain for lead brands across personal and commercial mobility.

• Detailed and regularized analytics and discussions across businesses for margin improvement resulting into actionable road-map for implementation.

• Adherence to all compliance requirements on pricing activities and decisions.

• Assume accountability to deliver business specific initiatives on Pricing & Insights in the global programs by suitably building in India specific requirements with relevant business context.

Experience & Qualifications:

Educational Background

1) University degree in B.Tech., Marketing, or related subject area
2) MBA or equivalent post graduate degree or equivalent experience
3) Background in data science is desirable.

Experience

1) A minimum of 12 years of professional expertise within the realm of sales and marketing, with preference for candidates possessing prior category/brand along-with basic sales management experience

2) Proven capability to collaborate seamlessly within cross-functional teams, spanning different organizational levels, both domestically and on a global scale, even within intricate and demand fast paced.

3) A requisite background in handling pivotal aspects such as Nielsen data, custom research methodologies, and liaising optimally with multi-disciplinary partner agencies

4) Knowledge and proficiency about agile, new generation research approaches for speedy yet effective turnaround.

5) Proven capability in leading and mentoring a team


Key proficiencies:

1) Strong analytical skills, with an ability to synthesize a coherent picture from multiple data points

2) Excellent communication skills

3) Adept at working with a high degree of uncertainty and ambiguity

You will work with:

The appointed individual will collaborate closely with key customers including the Leadership team of the organization, Marketing Head, Space and Category leaders, Sales teams, Global Pricing and Insights team, Legal teams, and performance management team on an ongoing basis to meticulously drive tangible business outcomes.

Furthermore, the incumbent will adeptly cultivate and oversee relationships with research agencies, industry knowledge partner agencies and other strategic partners, orchestrating collaborative efforts to propel business forward with unwavering precision.
