We are currently looking for Engineering Advisor where base location is Mumbai and details mentioned below:

The engineering professional works very closely with the central engineering team and other site customer.

Key responsibility includes handling of BAU capex portfolio and delivery yearly capex plan in collaboration with site engineering team. It also includes management of complex supply chain projects at sites as well as in office to lead multi-functional projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering coupled with exceptional project management skills to drive engineering projects. The candidate should have strong understanding of manufacturing process. This role will also support site engineer team in developing and supervising asset integrity management programs, support in critical maintenance issue and guide team in following Castrol/BP engineering and
HSSE standards.

Key responsibilities ;

1. Drive BAU capex delivery as per plan. This includes development of project pipelines, budgeting, support project approvals through BP process, Cash flow reporting and forecasting, customer engagement and coordination with finance team. The responsibilities also includes oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of engineering projects. Develop project schedules, plan resources, and supervise progress to ensure timely delivery. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and supply chain objectives.

2. Evaluate project proposals, engagement with related customers, handle project approvals, track of all projects for regular reporting & forecasting. It also involves management of capex review forum with leadership team with insights of spends, highlights and concerns.

3.Establish and maintain effective communication with internal and external customers. Provide regular project updates, address concerns, and handle expectations. Foster positive relationships to enhance collaboration and project success. Facilitate regular engagement through engineering forums to drive culture of innovation, collaboration, cross learning & standard process sharing.

4.Support engineering activities to handle asset integrity at plant. Develop good understanding of OMS system related to engineering and projects & guide team to align with OMS requirements.

5. Should support regular process safety evaluations (PHA or equivalent experience), facilitate HAZOP and PHSSER for projects in coordination with global process engineering team

6.The candidate will be also centrally responsible to ensure smooth running of plant maintenance management system (Digital planform for project and maintenance activities) and dashboards.

7. Drive complex multi-functional supply chain and engineering projects collaborating with various supply chain functions. It includes major supply chain initiatives like master-plan implementation for key sites.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Own the critical metric of capex processes, including ownership for running monthly capex review meeting and quarterly engineering meetings.

2. Timely prepare report for all India capex spend and forecast and share with customers including finance.

3. Continuously develop pipelines of the BAU projects taking reference from RAT register, growth plan, capacity gap assessment, safety risk assessment, new product launch and PHA or equivalent experience. Finalize yearly projects for execution following stage gate CVP process. Review projects with respect to agreed goals, objective, compliance to internal control guidelines and BP standards, project cost estimates and timelines in project approval cycle. Support project managers to get approval of investment proposals (DFM & EFM)

4. Establish and maintain dashboards for various engineering critical metrics, highlight area of improvements, share learning and procedure. Prepare data analysis reports for critical metric performance management. Cultivate culture of engineering community to share standard process and foster cross learning.

6. Drives standardization and simplification of all capex processes in line with BP CVP process.

7. Act in a manner consistent with the BP “Who We Are” through our values, building enduring capability, energizing people and improving value in both short and long term commitments.

8. Deliver successful projects following BP values and CVP process (stage gate project process) to create impact in supply chain operations and manufacturing sites.

Experience:

1. At least 12 to 15 years experience in manufacturing/engineering/process engineering/process safety/projects

2. Minimum Qualification : B. Tech (Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical) engineering preferable . Master degree or equivalent experience will be added advantage.

3. Good knowledge of project management, planning, co-ordination and should be able to work well under pressure and with competing priorities.

4. This position requires good customer management, leadership, commercial competence and influencing skills.

5. Experience in communicating and working with all levels of the organization and various cross functions.

6. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple activities concurrently and developing process enhancing strategies.

7. Certification like six sigma/ PMP/ Lean management/statistical analysis will be added advantage.

8. Understanding of engineering standards and process safety standards.
