Cash Management Analyst

The Cash Management Analyst is a key role to perform the BP Group’s liquidity forecasting processes (short term position and/or mid-term liquidity forecasts) within the Group Treasury Operations team.

This role is accountable for determining the consolidated daily cash position to ensure that the Group can maintain adequate of level of funds on short term and inform the FMT trading teams to go to market for immediate liquidity needs and optimize the daily use of funds in all currencies.

In this role You will:

  • Perform the short-term cash positioning and ensure bp’s daily cash flows for the different currencies are managed effectively and safeguarded against loss
  • Execute transfers of bp’s in-house bank, with both internal and external interfaces. • Perform daily bank reconciliations of all treasury bank accounts.
  • Fund various bank accounts to ensure daily target balances are met.
  • Add businesses to the funding app to facilitate easy flow of requests.
  • Set up wire code for businesses as and when required.
  • Ensure regular investigation and clearing of unallocated receipts and payments.
  • Ad-hoc tasks are to keep the list of unallocated receipts/payments as clean as possible and allocating amounts to the business as soon as practical

What You will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in finance, economics, business) or equivalent experience could be considered
  • Strong experience in Finance
  • Possess strong communication skills in English
  • Excellent problem-solving capability
  • Analytical skills and an ability to identify and automate processes in an efficient manner
  • Knowledge on how to build data visualization tools (i.e. Power BI…)
  • Experience with Wallstreet FX treasury application
  • Knowledge of processes and financial data flows of SAP and connected systems
  • Experience in financial (Market, Liquidity, Credit) and/or operations risk management
  • Knowledge of payment standards, mechanisms, and formats (e.g. SWIFT, CAMT, BAI)
