Job Title - Data Engineer

Responsible for supporting the delivery of business analysis and consulting processes and procedures for the defined specialism using basic technical capabilities, developing working relationships to provide support with queries, issues and ad-hoc requests and assisting with quality assurance services. Specialisms: Business Analysis; Data Management and Data Science; Digital Innovation.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Data Engineer to join our team at BP Business Solutions India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure, enabling efficient data flow and insightful analytics across our operations.

Job Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines using various scripting languages and tools.
* Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Apply Agility core practices to iterative development and continuous improvement of data solutions.
* Ensure the security and integrity of data through consistency to Information Securitguidelineses.
* Develop and maintain data models, including Relational Data Modelling, to support analytical and reporting needs.
* Manage configuration and release processes for data solutions, demonstrating Configuration management and Continuous deployment and release techniques.
* Implement and manage source control and code management strategies for all data-related assets.
* Chip in to the Solution Architecture and System Design of data platforms and services.
* Engage in service operations and resilience planning for data systems to ensure high availability and performance.
* Communicate technical concepts and solutions optimally to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Facilitate discussions and problem-solving sessions within the team and across departments.
* Potentially chip in to creating a high performing team environment through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
* Utilize Digital Project Management methodologies to organize and implement data initiatives.

Job Qualifications

* Shown experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
* Strong proficiency in Scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
* Proven understanding of Relational Data Modelling principles and practices.
* Experience with Solution Architecture and System Design for data platforms.
* Familiarity with Configuration management and Continuous deployment and release processes.
* Demonstrated experience with Source control and code management tools (e.g., Git).
* Knowledge of Service operations and resilience guidelines for data systems.
* Understanding of Information Security principles in a data context.
* Experience applying Agility core practices in project execution.
* Excellent Collaboration and Communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to Facilitate discussions and drive consensus.
* Experience with Digital Project Management methodologies is a plus.
