Job Description:

If you’re a current university sophomore majoring in engineering, and considering a future in Oil & Gas, our bp Upstream Discovery Days are the perfect place to start.

Discovery Day participants will visit our Gulf of America headquarters in Houston, TX and learn how our Wells and Subsurface teams are bringing together world‑class technology and deep technical expertise to safely discover, develop, and deliver the energy the world relies on! You'll spend a full day inside bp exploring careers in Wells, Petroleum Engineering, and Reservoir Engineering and get a real look at the projects our interns and early‑career engineers take on, including opportunities to rotate offshore.

You’ll hear from senior leaders about their career journeys, why Oil & Gas remain core to bp’s future, and why we’re looking for talented students like you to help build the next generation of technical expertise. The day also includes a tour of our Houston office and hands‑on interview practice with our Early Careers team and hiring managers.

If you’re interested in a 2027 bp internship, Discovery Day is your gateway to learning more about our roles, our culture, and why bp is an incredible launching pad for a career in Upstream Oil & Gas.
