Job Description:
As a Sales Specialist at Castrol NZ, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong customer relationships within your assigned territory. You will develop and execute strategic sales plans, leverage your commercial acumen to identify new opportunities, and provide exceptional service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive account strategies and business plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
Apply strong commercial acumen to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, understanding market trends and competitive landscapes.
Analyze customer profitability to optimize sales efforts and improve return on investment.
Segment customers effectively to tailor sales approaches and product offerings.
Deliver effective customer training on Castrol products and solutions, enhancing customer understanding and loyalty.
Foster internal alignment with marketing, technical, supply chain and operations teams to ensure seamless customer experience and product delivery.
Monitor market dynamics, identifying emerging trends and potential threats or opportunities.
Contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategy and programs.
Negotiate value-driven agreements with customers, securing mutually beneficial outcomes.
Manage and cultivate strong partner relationship management to expand sales reach and support.
Perform accurate sales forecasting and demand planning to ensure product availability and meet customer needs.
Develop expert knowledge of the assigned sector and its specific challenges and opportunities.
Effectively manage and optimize sales activities within your designated Territory Management.
What we're looking for
Proven experience in sales, with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
A self-starter with a proactive, enthusiastic and dedicated approach
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective account strategies and business plans.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
Adaptability to evolving needs & requirements of a role
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct effective customer training and presentations is desirable.
Proficiency in sales forecasting, demand planning, and territory management.
Experience in partner relationship management is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Relevant tertiary qualification in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
