About the Role
BP PLC is seeking an experienced FP&A Business Performance Senior Manager to enhance financial planning, strengthen performance management, and provide actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making. This role plays a critical part in shaping financial outcomes, optimizing operational performance, and supporting long‑term value creation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the development and execution of coordinated planning processes aligned with BP’s strategic and financial objectives.
- Drive commercial performance management by identifying business critical metrics, analyzing variances, and establishing reporting mechanisms.
- Deliver analysis with relation to financial and operations, using data visualization to support leadership decisions.
- Conduct detailed investment appraisals, including financial modelling and scenario assessment, to guide capital allocation.
- Lead all aspects of performance management frameworks, identify gaps, implement corrective actions, and supervise progress against goals.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate strategy into budgets, forecasts, and operational plans.
- Build strong internal collaborator relationships and provide mature financial mentorship.
- Communicate sophisticated financial insights efficiently to diverse audiences.
- Promote continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive experience in FP&A, business performance, or strategic finance within a large or sophisticated organization.
- Strong commercial competence and understanding of business drivers and market dynamics.
- Expertise in commercial performance analysis, including target setting, variance analysis, and improvement planning.
- Clear & articule with the ability to simplify complex financial information for non‑financial collaborators.
- Proficiency in data visualization and interpretation tools for data-driven decision support.
- Hands‑on experience in coordinated planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning.
- Strong background in investment appraisal techniques (e.g., NPV, IRR, payback).
- Known to work in performance management, including Commercially astute development and reporting.
- Experience in value‑focused and converting strategy into measurable financial and operational outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; an MBA or professional qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, CFA) are preferred.
