Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and security.

Job Responsibilities

* Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and data warehouses using various tools and technologies.
* Implement and manage configuration management and release processes for data solutions, ensuring continuous deployment and reliable releases.
* Develop and maintain scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes.
* Collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business partners, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
* Apply relational data modelling principles to design efficient and scalable database schemas.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of data infrastructure and processes, demonstrating agility core practices.
* Ensure the security and integrity of data through alignment to information security standard processes.
* Participate in the design and implementation of solution architecture for data-centric projects.
* Manage source control and code management for all data engineering artifacts.
* Support service operations and resilience for data platforms, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
* Actively contribute to creating a high-performing team environment through strong communication and facilitation skills.
* May be involved in Digital Project Management activities related to data initiatives.
* Contribute to system design discussions and decisions for data infrastructure.

Job Qualifications

* Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
* Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL).
* Solid understanding of relational data modelling and database design.
* Experience with configuration management and release processes.
* Familiarity with continuous deployment and release methodologies.
* Demonstrated experience with source control and code management tools (e.g., Git).
* Knowledge of information security principles and best practices.
* Understanding of service operations and resilience concepts.
* Ability to contribute to solution architecture and system design.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
* Experience working in an agile environment with agility core practices.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment, contributing to creating a high-performing team.
* Prior experience with Digital Project Management is a plus.
