Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Scientist, your responsibilities will include:

* **Data Strategy & Governance:** Contribute to the development and implementation of data strategy and governance frameworks to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
* **Data Sourcing & Integration:** Identify and acquire relevant internal and external data sources, and design and implement robust data integration processes.
* **Data Cleansing & Transformation:** Perform comprehensive data cleansing, validation, and transformation activities to prepare data for analysis and modeling, including utilizing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) methodologies.
* **Data Analysis & Modeling:** Conduct in-depth data analysis using various statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Develop and deploy predictive and prescriptive models.
* **Data Management & Manipulation:** Manage large datasets efficiently, including performing complex data manipulation to support analytical requirements.
* **Data Visualization & Interpretation:** Create compelling and intuitive data visualizations to communicate complex analytical findings to diverse audiences, and clearly interpret the implications of the data.
* **Commercial Acumen:** Apply strong commercial acumen to translate data insights into tangible business value and strategic recommendations.
* **Communication & Collaboration:** Effectively communicate complex analytical results, methodologies, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
* **Group Problem Solving:** Lead and participate in group problem-solving sessions, bringing data-driven perspectives to complex business challenges and contributing to innovative solutions.
* **Digital Security:** Ensure all data handling and analytical processes adhere to established digital security protocols and best practices.
* **Data Domain Knowledge:** Leverage strong domain knowledge to contextualize data, understand business requirements, and drive relevant analytical outcomes.

Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

* **Experience:** Proven experience as a Data Scientist, with a significant portion in a senior capacity, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
* **Technical Skills:** Expert proficiency in data analysis, data cleansing and transformation, data manipulation, and the use of ETL tools. Strong understanding and practical application of statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms.
* **Data Expertise:** In-depth knowledge of data sourcing, data integration, data management, and data strategy and governance principles.
* **Visualization Tools:** Proficient in data visualization and interpretation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Python/R visualization libraries).
* **Business Acumen:** Demonstrated commercial acumen with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into analytical problems and solutions.
* **Communication:** Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* **Problem-Solving:** Strong analytical and group problem-solving skills, with a proactive and innovative approach.
* **Domain Knowledge:** Solid understanding of relevant data domains and their application within a business context.
* **Security Awareness:** A strong understanding of digital security best practices in data handling and analytics.
* **Education:** A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
