bp's architecture teams address complex problems by leveraging cutting-edge technologies, fusing business insights, product management proficiency, and technical acumen to propel bp towards delivering energy to the world, today and tomorrow. Our architects knit together the diverse digital realms, stakeholders, and technology procurers to formulate a unified, agile, and robust digital architecture for bp.

bp is in search of an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Solution Architect to influence the design, governance, and progression of its connectivity solutions using automation/Infrastructure as-code and Agentic AI as the primary driver for change.

Bp is implementing a new strategy for connectivity, a large proportion of this a move toward infrastructure as code, this position is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing network systems across the organization. Building patterns that allow network dependent infrastructure to leverage security with minimal onsite infrastructure footprint. They will be pivotal in ensuring that our infrastructure wide security solutions are reliable, scalable, and integrate seamlessly with other technologies within the organization. This role will be at the forefront of the company's efforts to demonstrate innovative security technologies for enhanced communication, collaboration, and productivity.

The individual will be adept at simplifying complex technical language and concepts, ensuring that business partners who are not IT-focused can clearly articulate their requirements as well as understand and align with the security technology strategies and implementations.

In this role, you will:

  • Shape the future of our products and services by designing scalable, high-performing site networks using modern tech like automation and Infrastructure-as-Code.

  • Lead and deliver—not just strategize. You’ll create service strategies, reference architectures, and roadmaps to drive innovation and evolution.

  • Stay ahead of the curve by scanning the market, introducing innovative technologies, and influencing network strategy based on business needs.

  • Collaborate and innovate with architects and partners to turn requirements into impactful solutions.

  • Champion security and automation, building virtualized, secure networks while fostering a culture of safety and digital resilience.

What You will need to be successful:

  • Degree in IT/Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Expertise in network architecture, integration, and migration strategies.

  • Strong knowledge of network principles, security protocols, and interoperability.

  • Hands-on experience with modern network design, automation frameworks, and enterprise-level deployments.

  • Ability to translate complex requirements, lead teams through mergers/acquisitions, and build future-ready roadmaps.

  • Collaborative attitude, good communication skills, and adaptability to work independently or in teams.
