Job Description:

Reliability Engineer is accountable to uses data analysis, reliability processes and tools to resolve reliability issues relevant to the asset and implement reliability improvements at the plant assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve reliability issues relevant to the asset and implement reliability improvements at the plant assets by using data analysis, reliability processes and tools

  • Ensures alignment between Asset Strategy and SDF. Coordinates recommendation stewardship for their asset inclusive of TAR and Projects recs. Ensures right reliability scope in TARs and outages.

  • Coordinates with site operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify, fix and resolve site-specific reliability challenges. Drives bad actor kills/defect elimination for asset.

  • Leads sophisticated RCAs, facilitates/coordinates in Vulnerability Studies and Equipment Strategy development.

  • Facilitates Asset Reliability meeting and collates cross-discipline asset health insights. Uses data driven insights to prevent failure.

  • Reviews asset reliability, availability, vulnerability & cost data at a defined frequency and provides insights to Asset Engineers and Leaders.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of failure data and strategy to advise work order validation decisions

  • Develops Annual Maintenance Plan and provides input into maintenance budget to align with Asset Strategy.

  • Perform regular site visit to understand reliability challenges at site.

  • Drive reliability culture and its implementation.

  • Is responsible for the end-to-end facilitation of the Obsolescence Management process.

Minimum Education:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related subject area

  • Hold Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) / Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), is preferred.

Essential experience and job requirements:

  • Shown experience in oil and gas or related industry

  • Understanding of reliability principles and methodologies with demonstrable experience in reliability systems and diagnostics.

  • Technical knowledge and experience in reliability, with a proven track record to demonstrate practical and applied knowledge of upstream and global operations and practices.


Travel Requirement

Up to 25% travel should be expected with this role
