Job Profile Summary

Responsible for supporting line managers to handle engaged, high-performing teams, using sound technical capabilities to provide day-to-day advice, case management, line manager support for critical 'moments that matter' and project delivery in line with the business’ people plan, local legislation, BP policy and standard process.

Join our People and Culture Team and advance your career as P&C People Advisor, Castrol! If you join our team, these will be your following accountabilities:

  • Coach line managers to build and maintain engaged, high performing teams and support them through the critical ’moments that matter’

  • Provide advisory support to people and culture related topics that are aligned with the broader people plan, priorities and regulations.

  • Be an excellent partner with key leaders for business and functions, developing internal ‘weak signals’ to pre-empt potential risks and coach managers to encourage and drive performance development of their teams, through appropriate interventions

  • Provide support to managers in making changes to their organization or critical

  • people decisions/activities

  • Deliver People & Culture calendar activities such as performance and pay review, talent review/management and staff development processes etc

  • Adapt and implement people plan & initiatives for the client groups (functional/country), and partnering closely to drive actions that support the overall business strategy

  • Find opportunities to re-define and implement processes/policies and coordinate related improvement projects

  • Partner as a regional People & Culture tag to drive and support cross-region projects and activities within AsPac and globally, providing expertise across diverse functional areas when required.

In the role we have the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a multinational environment as an HR Generalist, Business Partner, or equivalent

  • Strong command of business English (written and spoken)

  • Proven experience in Collective Agreement negotiations within a unionized setting

  • Solid knowledge of Malaysian labor law; experience in manufacturing is highly advantageous

  • Ability to influence and engage key stakeholders using partnering, consultancy, and coaching approaches; continuously developing skills in active listening, influencing, and communication.

  • Role based in Bangsar South with regular travel to Port Klang (1–2 times per week)
