Job Description:

Reporting into the VP T&S MD&I Modernisation, you will:

  • Be the lead representative of the ST&S early talent programme in your region ensuring that the on scheme experience meets the needs and expectations of the business and participants.
  • Partner with the business to listen and continually adapt and innovate and stive for enhanced delivery content and efficiency in response to a changing external market environment.
  • Utilise your broad experience to represent the on scheme participants and challenge the business teams where required.
  • Coordinate closely with the global MDI team and local PC&C recruitment and PC&C learning teams to deliver the ST&S development programme. Effectively utilise both global PC&C standard process and ST&S detailed delivery requirements to develop a seamless co-ordinated end-to-end experience for the early careers on programme.
  • Coordinate and or lead delivery of ST&S focused activities that improve global delivery of the development programme. Identify new areas of global focus and align with VP to develop roadmap to address them for the global community or local community where relevant. This may include implantation of digital process management tools such as PowerApps or identification and introduction of new delivery processes.
  • Convene your regional governance board, ensuring implementation and sharing of global standard process and representing MDI modernisation in the region.
  • Ensure timely delivery of core ST&S specific development programme processes such as building strategy led input to annual demand, identifying and agreeing annual rotational roles, ensuring robust developmental feedback, performance management and supporting our recruitment activities.
  • Host the regional ST&S development programme participants in workday, approving expenses, leave and relevant regional budgets.
  • Bring a cross business forward looking perspective to all activities.
  • Be a career mentor to the on scheme early talent in your region adding relevant challenges and intervention actions.
  • Use your prior leadership experience to support rotational managers in managing the early talent rotating in their team, providing mentor and support were needed to aid their own development.
  • Use an Agile demeanor to drive continuous improvement and take on feedback from our partners and provide challenge.

Role Requirements

Demonstrated passion for people development with preference for experience with on scheme early careers participants.

Strong commercial business experience within ST&S with established local business knowledge and relationships.

Experience in managing difficult performance conversations.

Experience in mentoring individuals to improved performance.

Experience crafting and managing Microsoft data management and visualisation tools such as PowerApps and PowerBi as strong preference

Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Prior experience partnering with both internal and external customers, including meeting facilitation skills

Strong interpersonal skills including listening, verbal communication, network-building, problem solving and ability to work and influence people at all levels of the organization

Ability to work independently with minimal direction to deliver high quality work

Strong personal time management capability to give all areas of accountability and responsibility appropriate priority. Strong demonstration of bp’s Values and Behaviours – be a role model to our early talent and business teams
