Job Description:

Our purpose is to deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow. For over 100 years, bp has focused on discovering, developing, and producing oil and gas in the nations where we operate. We are one of the few companies globally that can provide governments and customers with an integrated energy offering. Delivering our strategy sustainably is fundamental to achieving our ambition to be a net zero company by 2050 or sooner.

About the role:

The Facilities & Engineered Equipment (F&EE) Procurement Advisor plays a key role in managing critical categories and sub-categories of spend, supporting global category strategies and supplier relationship management. This position helps drive end-to-end spend management to mitigate supply chain risk, improve value delivery—including sustainability—and ensure efficient execution of procurement strategies. Working collaboratively across procurement and beyond, including regional, business, and FB&T resources, the Advisor contributes to innovative strategies that deliver business objectives and category excellence. This role requires strong commercial savvy, problem-solving skills, and the ability to co-create solutions to category challenges while cultivating partner relationships and developing insights into supply markets, including emerging technologies and progressives.

What you will deliver:

  • Act as the single point of accountability for engineered equipment issues across European refineries.

  • Support delivery of F&EE key initiatives and sourcing strategies for European refineries.

  • Manage end-to-end sourcing and contracting processes in collaboration with FB&T teams.

  • Maintain deep understanding of supply markets and build collaborative supplier relationships to drive productivity through simplification and standardization.

  • Monitor contractor performance, provide input into investigations, and take appropriate actions.

  • Assist in developing creative category strategies addressing business needs, supply chain risk, and sustainability.

  • Contribute to transformation initiatives, using digital solutions to enhance efficiency and value creation.

  • Promote effective communication and partner engagement to gain buy-in for new ideas and strategies.

  • Work within a category team to foster collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Experience & Skills:·

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Category Management and Procurement (P2P), including strategy development, sourcing, contracting, and supplier management.

  • Strong business acumen with a proven ability to collaborate and deliver agile solutions.

  • Skilled in sourcing, negotiation, and managing international supplier contracts.

  • Solid understanding of regional requirements, planning/execution processes, and PSA/TSC/concessionaire approvals.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse teams.

  • Ability to influence and lead through complexity and ambiguity in multi-stakeholder, multi-cultural environments.

  • Degree in Procurement or related field (postgraduate qualification desirable).
