Job Description:
The Senior Planning and Commercial Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Finance Manager to ensure that pipeline business activities are led in accordance with the relevant governance framework and internal company requirements. The individual will be responsible for regular financial reporting, planning, budget preparation, and performance management. The role requires maintaining critical relationships with a wide range of external and internal customers and acting as a commercial interface across different parts of the business value chain.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out economic evaluation in support of investments/business opportunities in compliance with the requirements.
Support the Senior Finance & Commercial Manager in managing activities within the PSA/JOA governance framework and internal policies.
Perform commercial coordination and evaluations in support of Reserves/SMOG and Impairment submissions
Prepare regular financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to facilitate effective performance management.
Maintain critical relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders, including partners and regulatory bodies.
Support internal and partner audit queries
Manage compliance within the framework of commercial agreements and proactively seek opportunities for cost and revenue optimization.
Support and provide coaching to the Finance team, contributing to the professional development of team members.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3 years of commercial and/or finance experience, preferably in the energy or hydrocarbon sector.
Strong background in commercial operations, economic evaluation, and partner management.
Proven track record to build and maintain both internal and external relationships, and optimally resolve sophisticated issues.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead through demanding and competing priorities.
Excellent social skills, with experience preparing and presenting reports and recommendations to senior management.
