Job Description:

The Tangguh Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and delivering marketing strategies for LNG and crude products, ensuring alignment with global market trends, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. This role serves as the primary liaison between Tangguh, the Government of Indonesia, JV partners, and buyers, fostering strong relationships and driving commercial success.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop marketing strategy for Tangguh LNG and crude. Develop understanding of worldwide LNG/crude pricing structures and LNG/crude market including competitors' activities, as feeder to detailed recommendations for LNG/crude marketing planning, strategies, and targets as well as crafting outstanding business opportunities.
  • Develop the marketing strategy. Lead and handle bargaining terms of sales and purchase contracts. Coordinating closely with relevant departments to ensure sales contract is in compliance with local and global regulatory regimes, e.g. taxation, transport regulations, etc. Secure all critical approvals to allow the signing of sales contracts.
  • Key contact of coordination and relationships with external parties, including Government of Indonesia, JV Partners, and Buyers.
  • Provide interface and coordination between Tangguh and Government of Indonesia (GoI) to maintain alignment and acquire GoI approvals as needed for Tangguh's marketing activities and objectives.
  • Maintain effective liaison and coordination with JV partners and develop consensus on various marketing decisions as well as other key commercial and technical decisions through both formal and informal channel.
  • Expand and maintain good relationships and reputation with existing and potential buyers, as well as build and maintain good reputation in energy industry. Coordinate with potential buyers, assess potential buyer’s counterparty risk, e.g. due diligence, ABC & AML, financials, etc, shortlist top priorities leads to converting to purchases.
  • Provide support to Sales Operation and Shipping team in bargaining with Buyers to find the best solution to resolve any dispute or achieve the efficient value in developing the LNG Sales Purchase Agreements.
  • Coordinate with the business unit to ensure alignment between project build/implementation and marketing strategy and opportunities.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • A shown experience of 15+ years’ experience in oil and gas business and minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial or operational LNG business.
  • Extensive commercial skill, LNG experience and knowledge in Indonesian PSC system is preferable.
  • Possess strong influencing skills and the ability to work independently to achieve business objectives, while establishing effective communication and coordination with internal teams and external senior partners, including customers, competitors, and government representatives
  • Experience in gathering strategic/complex information and synthesizing/building it efficiently both orally and in written to help develop and resolve business solutions, plans and priorities.
  • Candidate should be able to quickly establish credibility in the position and to effectively coordinate with all levels of management, including senior leadership.
  • Candidate should have demonstrable leadership and management experience, with the capability to work effectively within a matrix organization and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
