Job Summary
The Shift Relief Operator plays a crucial role in maintaining the continuous and safe operation of our facilities by providing relief to various operational positions during shifts. This position ensures the consistent application of operational procedures and contributes to overall site reliability and safety.
Job Responsibilities
* Execute all assigned operational tasks and duties in accordance with established Control of Work procedures and company safety guidelines.
* Provide cover for various operational roles, including but not limited to, board operator, field operator, and other designated positions, ensuring seamless transitions and uninterrupted operations.
* Actively participate in and support general maintenance activities, identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions or anomalies to relevant personnel.
* Adhere strictly to all site Procedures and practices, contributing to a culture of compliance and operational excellence.
* Contribute to the overall Reliability general of the plant by diligently monitoring equipment performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions as authorized.
* Proactively identify and assess operational risks, implementing appropriate Risk Management strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
* Demonstrate strong Safety Leadership by championing safe work practices, intervening when necessary, and fostering a safety-conscious environment among colleagues.
* Support and participate in Turnaround general activities, including pre-planning, execution, and post-turnaround reviews, as required.
* Make Cost-conscious decision-making in day-to-day operations, optimizing resource utilization without compromising safety or operational integrity.
Job Qualifications
* Proven experience in an operational role within a heavy industrial or petrochemical environment.
* Demonstrated understanding and application of Control of Work systems and principles.
* Strong commitment to Safety Leadership and a thorough understanding of industrial safety regulations and best practices.
* Ability to effectively interpret and apply Procedures and practices in a dynamic operational setting.
* Experience in general maintenance activities and a basic understanding of equipment reliability principles.
* A proactive approach to Risk Management and problem-solving.
* Familiarity with Turnaround general processes and procedures.
* Ability to make sound Cost-conscious decision-making under pressure.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
* Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
